Frozen fries. Frozen microwaved breakfast. I'm not finding anything redeeming with their breakfasts except chocolate milk and orange juice. I don't drink their coffees, but maybe those are better than other fast and cheap food options?
Winston could not definitely remember a time when his country had not been at war, but it was evident that there had been a fairly long interval of peace during his childhood, because one of his early memories was of an air raid which appeared to take everyone by surprise. Perhaps it was the time when the atomic bomb had fallen on Colchester. He did not remember the raid itself, but he did remember his father's hand clutching his own as they hurried down, down, down into some place deep in the earth, round and round a spiral staircase which rang under his feet and which finally so wearied his legs that he began whimpering and they had to stop and rest. His mother, in her slow, dreamy way, was following a long way behind them. She was carrying his baby sister -- or perhaps it was only a bundle of blankets that she was carrying: he was not certain whether his sister had been born then. Finally they had emerged into a noisy, crowded place which he had realized to be a Tube station.
Starbucks has meh coffee especially for the price. Easy vote.
McDonalds breakfast is good, the apple pie (while not as good as the original recipe) is solid, and it's one of the few places where you can always get through the drive-thru in less than 5 minutes.

Their coffee isn't anything mind-blowing but it's good for the price and how quick it is.

This really is the best selling point for McD's. I have never been excited to eat the food at McDonald's. I have been excited at the prospect of having warm food when I am in a rush rather than eating a cereal bar or something.
I’ll move to McDonald’s if I have to but I’d rather get rid of Starbucks first.
People hate Starbucks. I don't really care one way or another. They get hate for being corporate, hate for wishing people happy holidays or having red cups without the image of a cross or something for Christmas. Their coffee isn't necessarily good or bad in my opinion. I always try to go with local options if I'm getting a coffee and it's not an iced coffee from concentrate. I don't go to Starbucks, so I can't say how good any of this shit is and if it's just industrially made food. But I'll take a Chicken Caprese on Ciabatta over a Big Muck or Quarter Pounder :vomit: no questions asked. I think people have given me bites of their pastries before. It's probably just microwaved Sam's Club or Costco level shit. But I'm not getting anything at that level at MacDonalds.
This really doesn't look that bad. They char-grill chicken and hamburgers which is superior to flame broiling over coils or a fucking spat grill for cheaply fried burgers. I don't usually drink shakes, but I'd try a few of those flavors on there.
Everybody, repeatedly, in this and the preceding threads (and will only assume the remaining rounds if possible): I go local when possible.
Yeah, we get it.
If that was to me (the post above yours), I was referencing what was on the starbucks food menu vs. mcdonald's. The comment on the coffee was an aside since I don't go to Starbucks. If not, sorry. I couldn't really determine what you were replying to.

Not specific to you, though your post was the one that got my reaction. But everybody keeps mentioning they go local. Yeah, like most of us do that.

I came into this thing with the idea that it's assumed that none of these are probably the go to for whatever they sell. Do I like cookout? Yes. Is it the call when I want a top notch burger? No.

Word because the best cups of coffee usually are from mom and pop or handcrafted type places. So yeah, we all get that like you said. That wasn't meant to be a main point just why I don't have an opinion on their coffee vs. McDonald's - but at the same time by just looking at the food menu, it looks more like a Panera or Atlanta Bread Company menu more than a McDonald's. And while I'm not a fan of either of those chains, they are better than McDonald's. So at least by the menu, it seems that Starbucks has better food. But what do I know since I don't really eat that much fast food (when I can get local hahahaha).
