i really wish more of you had the opportunity to try cookout. i know opinions of those who have tried it are split in this thread, but honestly it's pretty good and a really good value. the hamburger actually just tastes like a hamburger, whereas a mcdonalds hamburger tastes like a mcdonalds hamburger, a whopper tastes like a whopper, etc. like most fast food burgers have something very specific to their flavor that makes them more of a unique, separate product, rather than something you typically think of when you think of a hamburger. but cookout just tastes like a hamburger. just a straight forward, generic hamburger.
and repeating myself but i vastly prefer their shakes to a blizzard because they are significantly less sweet than a blizzard. it is ridiculous they call them shakes though, it's just soft serve.
I do wonder how much of the CFA hate is solely because of their politics, which admittedly, is horrible. But strictly food-wise, they're a lot better than most of what's on here. The spicy chicken sandwich is a go-to, and they have a really good Sante Fe spicy chicken salad with some nice avocado lime ranch dressing. Probably the best salad a fast food place has that I've tried.
I mean, someone asks this every round and then multiple people answer. It's not an unsolvable mystery. It's a matter of getting sick of posting the same thing every round.
I haven't been commenting a lot in previous rounds or paying attention much to the other comments. So I figured I'd ask, although I figured it had probably been covered before and had an idea of what the answer likely is.
But we actually and consistently think that CFA is the literally worst place to get drive thru from on this list.
There is a sizable contingent here just voting for whatever isn't CFA so it doesn't get eliminated.
It's a game. I get that. But don't blame CFA voters for consistently thinking that it's the worst option.
CFA's whole drive thru operation is pretty on point for how packed it gets
And yet it's frequently blocking traffic on the six days a week is open.
This is not a new phenomenon. At some point it should be their responsibility to find locations where their footprint can handle their expected volume.

I just want to go on record to say that I’m voting Taco Bell because I have not eaten at a Taco Bell in over five years because, although I did enjoy many a bean burrito in my youth, the last few times I had Taco Bell, they were no good, very bad experiences.
If McDonald’s were a contender at this point, I’d be okay with switching to it because they have literally one thing on their menu that I enjoy, but the rest is generally not good. I also have no love for Steak and Shake and have never eaten at Whataburger so I’d also be on board with those.
But I’m not going to vote for Starbucks because I like their coffee, their marble cake thing used to be pretty good, and I can eat some of their bullshit packaged foods in a pinch, like when I’m at the airport and all the other options are worse.

Some of the locations do have a setup to alleviate traffic. I guess your CFA’s aren’t smart enough to figure it out.
I don’t frequently see chick fil a blocking traffic here. And they 100% have the most efficient drive thru operation of all these chains.
Same. One of ours actually just completely rearranged their whole setup to keep their drive thru traffic off the road. And even when I groan because I’m getting in a line that seems too long, I’m surprised every single time by how quickly I move through it.

One of my old bosses from the late 80's, early 90's had a farm up thar in Bush, Lose-y-ana. He told me there was a Saturday cattle auction. Local farmers would bring their old, decrepit cows in when they didn't really have any more use for them. Fast Food buyers got the bulk of them for about $500/per head and brought them on to slaughter, grind and serve to ham-and-eggers slopping in that fast food by the fistful.
