you actually think Krystals is better? Or Checkers? Lmfao
I've said this before but their anti-LGBTQ track record makes them the worst restaurant on this list regardless of my feelings about their food (average at best, in my experience), their menu limitations (not terribly diverse), their drive thru issues (a nuisance, in my experience), or their availability issues (open about 15% less than the rest of the field). So I have yet to make a call on who is the second worst remaining drive thru because, in my opinion, the worst is still there.

fwiw, according to this vox article, CFA ceased donations to groups with anti-LGBT stances. they previously had multi year commitments to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and The Salvation Army.
personally i'm a little torn on the Salvation Army, they have literally saved the lives of people that i consider good friends, junkies that had no place else to go. and it didn't turn them into crazy people it just helped them get clean and get back on their feet. i've gone down to my local Sally to have meetings and speak. but i don't know much about the organization as a whole, just my local chapter i guess.
In n out said they weren’t going to check their customers/ employees for vaccinations. They also have a long history of donation to Republicans but have also donated to Democrat causes.

CFA’s owners still donate to Anti-LGBT groups and candidates who supports those polices. But so does the owner of Wendy’s, McDonald’s, etc. and sometimes in larger amounts than CFA does.

I guess everyone has their own priorities but actively contributing to the pandemic is about as bad as it gets for me idk

CFA as an company no longer donates but their owner dumps a lot of money to PACs with strong ties to anti-LGBTQ organizations.

The counter to that is that (1) they specifically didn’t say, “hey we’re not going to donate to these groups anymore because we recognize how harmful that was,” and they didn’t rule out the possibility that they’d make similar donations in the future; their contract was just up and they chose different organizations to donate to for the time being; and (2) CFA’s owner still gives huge donations to anti-equality groups (pretty sure someone posted this in one of these threads, but here it is again: www.esquire.com/food-drink/restaurants/a36622217/chick-fil-a-owner-donations-against-equality-act/). The counter to that second part, of course, is that owners of many of these other businesses also give money to such organizations and no one is arguing against them, likely because it’s not so publicized. And the counter to that is, if it’s right in your face, it’s probably not right to ignore it just because you know someone else is doing it more quietly.
I definitely have at least one friend in the LGBTQ+ community who is angry that people still eat at CFA, and other friends who are largely silent about their stance on CFA. I also definitely know that gay people eat and work at CFA and I think their policy is that it’s their pleasure to serve everyone regardless of sexual orientation. I don’t think there’s one right answer here. It’s a judgment call.
Edit: I realize parts of this have now been said several times. I’m slow typing up posts because I have issues and reread and edit them multiple times before posting.

Everybody's got issues though. People are here arguing over the worst remaining of bad fast food purveyors.
I just want to go on record to say that I’m voting Taco Bell because I have not eaten at a Taco Bell in over five years because, although I did enjoy many a bean burrito in my youth, the last few times I had Taco Bell, they were no good, very bad experiences.
If McDonald’s were a contender at this point, I’d be okay with switching to it because they have literally one thing on their menu that I enjoy, but the rest is generally not good. I also have no love for Steak and Shake and have never eaten at Whataburger so I’d also be on board with those.
But I’m not going to vote for Starbucks because I like their coffee, their marble cake thing used to be pretty good, and I can eat some of their bullshit packaged foods in a pinch, like when I’m at the airport and all the other options are worse.
The TB drive thru is the slowest on earth. I don't get it, they have like 5 ingredients that they mix and match to make everything, so why is it so slow??? And the only place I've experienced consistently wrong orders lol
If I'm desperate the one thing I'll eat from Taco Bell are their potato tacos, those things are tasty. But those are super basic, just tortilla, fried diced potatoes and some southwest type sauce.
