The closest In-N-Out to me is in Texas. That's way too far to travel for a burger that was fine. Also, the first question you get when googling "in n out fries" is "why are in n out fries so nasty?".
In N Out is shittiest company. Taco Bell has the shittiest food. I’m sorry you can’t handle the fact that Dave Thomas personally raised 8,000,000 children through the miracle of adoption.

Dave Thomas got fired from his first job working at a restaurant in Knoxville. Do we need to encourage that kind of work history?

Yes because he created his own shit and made way more money than they did.

I actually do not have any strong feelings about Dave Thomas either way, but I did not know this and it turns out this happened to him when he was 12?! Like, can you imagine being a restaurant manager and then telling a 12 year old "You're just not pulling your weight around here, so we have to let you go"??

Same here on Dave Thomas. Just a weird bit of trivia I heard one time. It was a different world back then. My grandfather's first job was carrying ice blocks up the stairs of apartment buildings in his home town. He was partners with his friend at the time bc they were six or seven and couldn't carry the blocks by themselves. I'm like wait what?

I watched this whole show about how the term teenager wasn't even a real thing until the 40s after WWII. The reason being labor laws changed and then there were two world wars, and then for the first time in American history, teenagers weren't expected to hold down jobs, get married and start families. With the invent of new medicines that kept people alive longer kids could actually be kids for the first time.

my grandma worked sweeping up the floors/wiping down tables in a speak easy when she was like 12. I get it was the great depression, but wtf great grandparents.
Wow I am super surprised In-N-Out is leading right now... I could just be blinded by the fact that it's a rare treat for me but the five(?) times I've eaten there I've absolutely loved it.
i was ready to vote wendy's out here but then remembered the beauty of dipping fries into choco frosties and that alone might carry Wendy's to the finals
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

the rarity of it definitely ups it's desirability, but it is also a very good drive thru meal.
but it being in the lead shouldn't surprise us, this whole competition has been more about spite than flavor.
