Wilson with the fuck up. The note on the ability or inability to stop the run is about to get tested. So far the Cowboys have done a good job and are in the game. But inside the 10 plus the 4Q. ? Can they neutralize the running game?

We were gonna go as far as Pollard could carry us. Zeke sucks. I think he has an out in his deal and I hope we just eat the dead cap, tag Pollard or whatever.
Well its number 1 offense vs number 1 defense. Except the number 1 offense also has the number 2 defense. Considering how Philly played yesterday and trucked the giants on the ground you know that if Sf wants to just bottle em up that philly can air it out and win that way. They showed that in back to back weeks in the Titans and Packers games.
it's weird that people are forgetting that the giants were the second worst playoff team, and that the eagles have not beaten another playoff team besides the giants in over 3 months
they're a good team but I think they are comfortably the 4th most talented team left

So was this the same narrative from 2017? Nick Foles cant play? Eagles had a soft schedule? Number 1 seed was a fluke? If they ended up winning the whole thing this season Im sure its gonna be seen as a mickey mouse ring according to some. Hell, The Bengals werent supposed to do what they did last season and were one wide open pass away from winning the sb. The last 4 standing are all teams everyone thought would or could get this far halfway through the season. Nobody has been given shit, its been earned. The team with the best o line and d line apparently has no talent I guess.

awfully defensive there, bud. I never said they were undeserving of being here, just that the teams they beat this season were largely falling all over themselves games when the eagles played them
consider the best teams the eagles beat: the Lions (week 1, team was the worst defense in NFL history at that point and for several weeks after), Vikings (week 2, lucky to the point of being fraudulent); Commanders (week 3, still starting Wentz and in freefall because of it), the Jags (week...5? a team that started 3-7 and won the worst division in football [but is actually good-ish now]), Cowboys (week 6, Cooper Rush turns back into a pumpkin), the Giants x3 (by DVOA, the second worst team to make the playoffs... who happened to face Minnesota, the worst team by DVOA in the playoffs)
they won the games in front of them, and that's all you can ask them to do. throw the Minshew games out, they're whatever. the point is that the league was very top heavy, and 4 of the 5 teams we all identified as "the cream of the crop" made it to the championship round, and I think the Eagles are the least impressive of the bunch. that's not slander, it's just based on my read of where all 4 teams have been and what they have done across the length and breadth of the season. it's not unreasonable to suggest that the Bengals, Chiefs, and Niners have been challenged more significantly and more often. does each of them have an inexplicable loss? absolutely. but I still come away feeling more impressed overall by each.
but to answer the gist of your point:
no, they're absolutely not the 2017 Eagles, who were clearly either the best or second best team in the NFC - largely on the strength of their defense - and had quality wins throughout their season (@rams, @panthers, chargers), while their only losses were to teams above .500. They were underdogs against the Falcons because Foles came in with like, 5 or 6 straight ugly quarters (which nonetheless ended in them securing the #1 seed), and Vegas thought he was gonna shit himself again. The Eagles offense did not play well enough to win that game; the defense bailed out their inability to convert in the red zone. They got right on offense after that, though.
Ultimately, I feel like the 2022 version of the 2017 Eagles is the Niners. The 2022 Eagles are like... the 2000 Vikings? That's the closest comp I can come up with off the top of my head, but I think it tracks. Young, dual threat QB with a talented roster around him. the only difference is that Vikings squad was kinda shabby on defense.
I dunno, either way, someone saying your team is the 4th best remaining team of four isn't some grand insult
Sean Payton will have a second interview with Denver this week. Denver doesn’t have the greatest compensation after trading so much away for Wilson. They have SF’s 1st round pick (now guaranteed to be 29-32) and 2 3rd round picks though they have a 1st in 2024. We will see, if the Broncos offer to hire him, whether we can work through compensation.
