I'm out of the loop, where does all the Sean McVay to retire chatter come from? The man is like 23 years old and just won a Super Bowl
Team was all-in to win this year and did. There were even some rumors of Aaron Donald retiring. Would be a reasonable time to take some time off, do whatever (TV) for awhile, and come back to a more advantageous situation.
I don't think it's happening at this point, especially with the OC hire, but that's the general idea.

Idk if anyone collects football cards or even cares but I got bored and made a spreadsheet taking rookie card values and then crossreferenced it with PlayerProfiler.coms dynasty fantasy football rankings
Don't think it really means anything lol but thought I'd share

Espn wants Joe Buck to go with Aikman. If fox loses Buck now who is their new go to pairing? Burkhardt and Olsen could be a good one. As much as I like Kenny Albert he needs somebody not named Jonathon Vilma. Gus Johnson and Aqib would be a dark horse choice but then its gonna create a whole issue with people saying that he just loses his mind too much on big plays and it feels too much like college.
like idk how much crossover there is between people who don't watch MNF and people who will tune in just for Troy and Co
even w the CBS/Fox crews it's always so random if I get Romo and everyone else is pretty whatever, but if it's not a Texans game I'm generally not picking just one broadcast over the other based on the booth team, I'm flipping back and forth by game pace
but MNF is going to get all the views every time, I guess there could be some intrigue if ESPN was able to get aikman to also call cfb games but even then they're still going to get watched regardless
I know that Booger and the weird camera were god awful, and a bunch of people complained but the ratings were pretty much the same year to year and I'm sure the matchups drive most of the variance year to year more than the staff

Look at it this way, if Joe Buck leaves Fox that means the World Series will get a new announcer on top of that which would rule. Fox had Buck and Aikman call some bowl games so now its just a matter of them getting a CFP game along with Herb and Fowler at ESPN. They better not give them the Rose Bowl, though. I mean its been a while since we had some major changes with the big nfl announcing crews. Tirico getting the NBC job was a given, but will it still be Collinsworth or do they go with Drew Brees. MNF had its moments with who they had and Riddick is a great analyst. It was kinda boring this season with Philly games getting the D crew almost every week. You can only take so much of Mark Schlereth talking about how thick dudes are. Maybe when the new Sunday ticket package comes they will have an option to let you switch audio channels to the home radio announcers, that would be cool.
I can't remember the last time that I cared who was in the booth at a game that I watched. I was watching a Josh Allen highlight compilation last night, as one does, and was pleased to hear a woman on the call for a change. So maybe more of that and less retired football players saying that it was the right call for a coach to punt it from the opposing team's 42 on fourth and 3.
