i also find it p hilarious that tranter is so mad im basing my feel on him via a combo of anaylzing some of his sus comments/tone through + a gut read when 1) thats literally how most of us play in general, and 2) especially in a game where all inspo gave was given and one confirmed townie who didnt even live to see the next Day, of course gut reads and analyzing tone and shit matters a lot this time around

I find Teddy’s playing style to be reminiscent of games I’ve played with him when he’s mafia. That’s the reason I gave while voting for him. It’s really just a numbers game to me at this point. The info we have is a mix of a really solid and then the rest is pretty wide open to interpretation. So I’m mostly just trying to illuminate based on who I have a slight town read on vs who I think the two left could be.
I said I wanted Teddy and was glad Rooloo was in to. I switched to Rooloo to make sure we got at least one… once he was moved out.
agreed - as posted a few mins ago, if it is rooloo/otter and not trant as the third, i think teddy likely is instead. i know hes legit been busy with moving in and all that, no doubt on that, but when he IS here and playing, it just feels a bit off.

Why are you worried about revotes on D3? There are 7 people left and at most 2 mafia. By expanding the runoff to 3, we will see valuable vote movement in D3R2.

i have considered him, thx for asking. i just think the case against him almost entirely hinges upon this bbcode thing that i find less sketchy than others because his confusion in answering could've been flustered townie just as easily as it could've been mafia caught in a narrative switch. there's more drawing me to a couple other people right now over him.

am i certain trant is maf? of course not, no way i can be--no way any of us townies can be certain on someone. but do i feel a hell of a lot better that hes proceeding over potent? yes.

I moved because someone had to, and I had no reason to vote for one over the other. But, at this time, we knew that Maddog was revealed, had given Otter, and knew Jortles was town.
This is the count right before Maddog had his mini meltdown:
Remember that Maddog/Rummy/Cum were the revotes going into D1R2. I think all three were town, but the one chance was that Cum was mafia and they saw that Maddog was sort of hinting at Otter, so they decided to press it. It's unlikely, but I think that combo would be Otter/Cum/SFA. I guess Theo or Rooloo could vote for or stack their teammate, but it's much less likely. This is a good argument that Cum is town.
SFA and rooloo could be distancing at the beginning of D3. Theo and Rooloo could be "distancing" in a different way by voting together on D1R1. In any event, if I had my way, it would be a runoff of those three today.

First off, as always, it's a gut read on Theo. His explanations for his vote post yesterday didn't stand up to scrutiny when he was questioned. I'm still not sure what he thinks he is arguing in that post, and it was used by Teddy to justify a vote for me, which is just wrong.
Teddy is becoming more and more off to me, by the way, and I think maybe you are right that we should advance him in this runoff, and so I will work to make that happen. Teddy originally was a gut town read for me mostly because I think he hates playing the game, regrets it every time he plays, and has said as much in this thread. I've chalked up any of his posts to that fact at this point. I'm going to stop doing that. He pulled a classic mafia move yesterday when all of us were debating various points by saying he didn't have the brainpower for mafia due to moving. I have no doubt he's moving, obviously, but using it as an excuse is a classic mafia tactic (sometimes even unwittingly).
Also, this is something I noticed and told myself to avoid as I was reffing last game. When the inspector is out, we have all their information, and they've been whacked, we are left to pick up the pieces, and too many players rely too much on their priors without noticing what is occurring in real time. Think back to D4 last game when there was one mafia left, and four townies were bickering. There was one player who didn't get a vote - Mafia Jortles. He was largely absent and/or watching while the four townies left fired shots back and forth at each other. Mafia are going to lay low and not get into needless fights generally once the inspector has died. We've all been there - you're basically trying to hold onto your ass and get to the finish line.
My skepticism on Theo is due to vote patterns on D1 and what I believe to be a misleading post (whether on purpose or accident) on D3 leading to his initial vote and giving Teddy cover (accidentally or not) to vote for me. Basically, I think there has to be at least one mafia that was voting for Rummy/Cum when Maddog was stacked to 4. I know I'm town, so that leads to SFA/rooloo/Theo. My pushing of Theo today is mostly to hedge and make people put their bets on who is mafia between rooloo and Theo. I think I'm fine if we do that with rooloo and Teddy.

potentpotables yeah i agree with most of what you've said. i too believe there was likely a maf voting me or cum when MD got stacked, and i strongly believe that maf is rooloo. i mean, where even is the guy? just cutting his losses rn?
i think if we vote out rooloo, trant, teddy in whatever order, Town wins. i think i hope. would be amazing if we got it right twice in a row here though and didn't have to deal with a d5. i guess it'll also come down to whether once rooloo is out, there's enough people pushing for a theo exile over trant or teddy... but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it
