my Rebs firm at #2! college baseball rankings are so weird lol i know it's more likely to lose a random game(s) in baseball but the majority of teams in the top 10 have multiple losses with some even 3+ i believe. Mississippi State is still ranked at 6-6 for goodness sake... i think baseball rankers give teams too much benefit of the doubt and leave them ranked where they are because of the potential the team has instead of making them crawl their way back into the thick of things

No, just went along with a few friends who had an extra ticket. I was there for the beer! I was cheering with the state fans though. When in rome and all that stuff. I had a lot more fun that I thought i would though. Ended up getting a ball and gave it to this little kid who was super excited about it. That kids dad had like 7 kids all decked out in state gear so i figured that would be a better home for that ball.

ahhhhh! i’m born and raised in Pascagoula so i’ve spent much time in OS. will probably be downtown some next week during spring break
my boys had to postpone our game against Memphis yesterday and played Alcorn State tonight in a 16-1 bloodbath. they scored their only run on a solo homer by the second batter of the game then proceeded to walk our first 5 or 6 batters. throughout the game, though i only stayed through the 4th, they did not bring a single person out of the bullpen and exclusively brought in position players to pitch and they were throwing 65-75mph. only had 8 hits but 15 walks lmao
shoutout to andrew and the Red Raiders for a solid dub to bring MSU back to .500
is Texas State legit or is Texas just not motivated for midweeks lol gave them trouble 2 straight nights and even pulled it off tonight, loved to see the closing pitcher hit em with the horns down immediately after the final strikeout

Texas State always has some solid recruitment. The guy who hit the grand slam for them the other day is Daylan Peña, a freshmen who's had a super great hot streak to start the year. He's also from Corpus and good friends with my brother so it's always really cool to see him doing good.

niceeeee, that’s sick! I always love to see guys I know/have mutual friends with/played against balling out. I played baseball against Ole Miss’ catcher when he was in 7th and I was in 8th, he was throwing like 84 or something and now he’s one of the best defensive catchers in the country because no one can run on him lol
We finally took an L today. So we're now 14-1. Conference play starts next weekend against Miami. I'm going to the game Sat.
nice! should be a fun series, Miami has seemed to be quite explosive over the past couple of seasons. I won't be at a game until probably next Tuesday or so unfortunately, though I am home for spring break and we play at Auburn this weekend so I might make the trek
first off, my boys are #1! honestly not a great week with a rough doubleheader against Oral Roberts yesterday where we won the first by 4, then lost by 4 after having won 16-2 on Friday. little frustrating but it seemed to be us just playing too lax and down to ORU's level (even though they are still a solid mid-major team). however, shoutout to Cookin' Mama and his Gamecocks for helping us secure that #1 spot with a series win of UT (horns down.)
Clemson and TTU still off to solid season starts and are definitely looking like potent teams, so shoutout to all of us for having some successful teams.
if i'm not mistaken, this should be the first weekend where everyone has conference games as the SEC is getting started, so that's always fun!
nothing else too exciting happened this week/weekend from what I can tell aside from the already talked about UT loss at the hands of Texas State, but feel free to chime in if yall have anything to add!
the most notable thing was Bama’s catcher expecting a breaking ball and getting nailed in the face letting the runners on first and second advance, then getting the breaking ball he expected and letting it bounce and fly off his chest protecter letting the dude on third score.
