Also for what it’s worth I don’t think the last 4 post was really the reason for the whack even if JTR or Theo is maf. Potent probs would’ve been whack n1 if that were the case

I’m concerned because I view Dan / Tranter and Theo / LLL as sorta two groups and potential pairings. Having one from each would make me most comfortable going into the runoff to not have the game end.
But Theo and LLL don’t seem to be squirming much here as if the game is on the line and they know town is about to lose if they go out.

don’t like this thought process. No need to put someone in the runoff who isn’t in the top 2 most sus. Go with the best bet. Like say Dan and you are Mafia, what’s the point of getting one of you in the runoff if we aren’t actually gonna vote either off?

Thank you dan! It doesn't even make sense for me to be Mafia. If I was Mafia with JTR, like Theo is saying, why didn't I move to you or silver to at least creat a runoff? Why would I whack Cum? Jesus Christ.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Its about math and trying to do the the thing that is most likely to keep us in the game longest. Since we were fine regardless, gonna table this meta discussion.

Couple thoughts...
1. Hedging concept, but from my perspective, LLL seems more likely to still have a partner alive than Theo. Dan and Tranters votes for Theo... probably mean they don't stand to win today with Theo because it would be stupid to not try to end it here. If it's Theo and LLL, it obviously doesn't matter. On the other side, LLL / Tranter or LLL / Dan are both very plausible. If I had full control of the game, I'd really like to do LLL here and guarantee a day 5 (outside of a really solid mafia move to throw me off of Tranter / Theo or Dan / Theo)
2. Can't help but think rummy set this early ass deadline because the game isn't on the line. Queue her coming in to say that isn't the case... she has to say that and she obviously would never do that on purpose, but hard for me to shake it. 10 am deadlines are always aggressive, but one where the game is on the line seems extra.

please don't read into the deadline time one way or the other -- it's been a long time since i last was ref and have certainly not done so perfectly this game (D3 was quite difficult to navigate for me with the questions around locking, etc., and i feel like i got lost in the sauce around the rules when i should've made an executive call sooner that round). and so when tranter wrote "seems a weird deadline," my immediate ref response was to think, "dang maybe he's right and i shouldn't have set it at this time just because there was only the one person to cast their vote." i would've had that exact same response regardless of who posted about it, and i've verbally offered "but anyone can request for extension" in more rounds than not, so again, pls don't read into that.
future note to self if reffing again: people don't like 10am deadlines lol

I feel like LLL generally isn’t easy to read, but when she’s town she has a lot of confidence in her reads, and this game she has felt pretty squirmy, also offering up random unnecessary excuses and just overall not helping town in the way she does when she is town

Yeah I agree. She's just been softer. I've been leading the charge on her for days now and I don't even think she's directly quoted me or responded to me once during that time though I could be corrected here (gonna look). Trying to avoid a scrum.

My views on LLL have shifted recently but there’s no smoking gun. There’s a lot of strange posts but nothing I can quote and like “this is a mafia post”.
I think there’s a couple for Theo. The posts where he says certain moves are “dangerous” and another where he says “on edge”. They just read to me as posts that he wouldn’t make. They’re too serious. Jortles pointed this out yesterday but he got my fake reveal joke but then whooshes my “confirmed town” joke. I think he’s been very uncharacteristic all game. I don’t know LLL well enough to say if she has been or not.

LLL's definitely been suss the whole game imo. She doesn't have a single post that screams "definitely Townie" to me and has checked every single box from fluff to coasting during big moments to lacking consistency without being transparent about her changes of heart. Also did people mention that Rooloo's "this runoff is sexist because its all men" post could have spooked LLL?
I think one of you two should switch but its hard to be confident rn.
