Didn't really think about it until now, but I'd rather watch Modern Family than anything that's gone so far. I'd put it below anything left though.
yeah we're into the cream of the crop here. malcom in the middle is obviously beloved but i don't think it has the rewatchability of the rest of the list.
if i asked anyone what their favorite sitcom is and they named any of these besides malcolm in the middle i wouldn't bat an eye. but if they said malcolm in the middle was their favorite i'd at least cock an eyebrow.
i saw last round people are coming for the office and i think that's fair anytime after this round, considering how long NBC tried to milk it for. again i'm ignorant about always sunny but i suppose similar things could be said about that show, but it also strikes me as the kind of show that should just go on and on, even if the quality waxes and wanes over time.

It's always sunny is kind of like South Park in that the characters are pretty malleable and can be adapted to tell whatever absurd plot they are coming up with. they don't need the same kind of continuity that a more serial type show has and they generally shy away from the mushy heartwarming stuff you will find on stuff trying to appeal to broader audiences (e.g. parks and rec/the office/etc.) - it can get pretty dark sometimes. It's just a group of generally terrible people getting up to hijinks, so it hits when they can just fire off jokes. I haven't watched regularly in a long time, but it's a show where I know i'll at least get a couple chuckles if I just put on a random episode.

Similarly, I have no idea how to square away seasons 1-3 of Arrested Development, easily my favorite show out of any on the list, with seasons 4-5, which mostly my mind blocks out like they don’t exist.
IMO the first three seasons of Arrested Development are so perfect that I don't care how bad the last two seasons were. And also those last two seasons weren't nearly as bad as the last three seasons of The Office.

not sure about that. the last three seasons of the office had some plotlines that were annoying, but there were also some good points and laughs. and i think most people generally agree the finale was great and the show was wrapped up well. as opposed to the later seasons of arrested development, which were mostly just boring. which imo is the worst criticism you can levy against a comedy.

We’ve watched the Office several times through and always watch the whole thing. The last few seasons aren’t the best, but they’re enjoyable. The fourth season of Arrested Development is okay. I can watch it and enjoy it even though it’s not anything near the quality of the first three. The last season is just not even watchable. We only made it through the first half and have no inclination to finish it.
Curb has never had a bad season, there was one that was maybe not quite as good as the others, but it's always been the same thing and it's pretty much always worked. Idk if it is the best one here, but probably the funniest.
Wrote out this long winded post that may have been tl:dr about why The Office should go before Malcolm and decided that it just wasn't worth it and just let you guys have this one even if you're wrong. Life is unfair indeed.
What are the shows left that didn’t have a dip in quality toward the end? 30 Rock? Community?
Plenty of people liked Season 9 of Seinfeld. I personally think it is below seasons 4-8 but it has a bunch of memorable moments and episodes (Festivus, high five, the voice, serenity now).

Look, if it was the Freddie Muniz-led Disney channel movie "Miracle in Lane 2", it would be a different story!

The Betrayal (the Memento one) is one of my favorites.
