This line-up is beyond amazing! I went ahead and bought a ticket for my partner and I but may resell as I'll just be returning from Europe a few days prior.
Without combing through the lineup, what jumps out to me most are:
Fred Again... Black Coffee* Grimes Lane 8* Caribou Dom Dolla Explosions in the Sky * Joy Orbison Jacques Greene * Ivy Lab x Lake Hills a/v Tiga * & Hudson Mohawke Richie Hawtin * Martinez Brothers * Jeff Mills SBTRKT * Jamie Jones * (if it is a daytime set)
Love Green Velvet * but John Summit *is a total dick and I hate that they are b2bing * I've seen the before and may choose undiscovered artists instead
I'd love a Spotify playlist or any reviews/can't misses of the lesser known artists on the lineup
LOCALS-- pretty last minute I know but I have a few extra tix to The Smile thursday night at the Knight Center and would love to pass off for cheap to some fellow inforoo-ians. DM me if interested!

Laughing about how Shaq has been blowing up and is being booked all over to DJ, and III Points books the Center that replaced him in Orlando when he left for LA, Rony Seikaly

hi, first time poster (lol) but have been lurking since last year. went to aint no picnic last year and primavera barcelona last month, will be going to making time forever in september. have been to pitchfork music fest about 10x heh.
have never been to iii points. was considering last year but didn’t work out. in any case - was about to buy tickets, but wanted to ask people who have been in the past - any knowledge if is this a festival where resale tix become heavily discounted in the lead up? seemed like a possibility to me with the location/genre. i know for primavera you could get barcelona and madrid together for less than like 200€ on major resale sites within a few weeks of the fest. the face is v reasonable right now but wanted to make sure tix weren’t readily avail for like $100 by october.

idk how low they drop but I feel pretty confident you can find tickets for less than face before the fest

Welcome!
thanks! love the enthusiasm for lineups, layouts and attention to detail for all things festival i’ve seen on here. i identify. i used to post on the sound opinions message board frequently but that was like 10+ years ago; was also hardcore into weezer msg boards (heh) back in like 2000… so has definitely been a minute. anyway don’t want to distract from the topic but again thanks, appreciate the welcome :1)
who remembers the AOL chatrooms where you would request people to send you their list and then you would be able to download MP3s and shit... a few years before napster.

I've been a few times, and in the past, I would say you're good to wait and save some money, but my guess is with this being Fred's only show outside of Brooklyn and LA, and (I assume) first show in the south/Florida, things will be different.
Even III pushing that there won't be single day tickets this year is an indication that they're selling well and will probably sell out.
That being said, if you keep an eye on stuff you could probably score a deal regardless

Incredible shows, damn. Thursday at The Ground is definitely the place to be, but I'd love to stop by James at Jolene since it's modeled after Despacio. I'm hoping 'very special guest' is Grimes.
The codes for the satellite parties has been a mess. I never received a code and didnt get a response when I emailed them like they requested. Guess all I can do is hope that there are still Thursday tickets when they open it up to general public.

I never got mine either. Luckily was able to still snag 2manydjs on Thursday for $35.

Got back from Aphex @ Field Day London a couple of weeks ago. It was phenomenal and am already wanting more. Pretty good chance that he'll be making it stateside next year. I'm going to dream and hope that III Points finally gets him for next year and not Coachella again.
