Another great weekend in the books!
It started off rough because I bought the before midnight tickets for The Ground on Thursday and got there wayyy late, I won't make that mistake ever again lol.
This was the first year that I didn't really have a set schedule, so most of the time I was just wandering around with my crew and just taking in all the art and locations. Kinda disappointed they'd get tired after 2 and we'd go home, but I had plenty of fun to not feel too FOMO'd out. I thought getting a free show to Cuco with the Prophet Pass was pretty cool so it was a no brainer snagging them up again, can't wait to see the goodies they give us next year.
Friday: Miami Community Radio > Hit up Pomegranate to check out ODD, I saw Julie , but didn't know whether to say what's up since his girl was spinning, which probably made me look like a weirdo creeper, but great set nonetheless > Ritchie Hell > cool art in Mana > Front Row run of EITS/Caribou/Fred > Long wait for Tacos where I missed TEED > Skrillex > Dispacio > Jeff Mills
Saturday: Pre game at Mandolin (best Miami restaurant), but sadly miss Jockstrap > Caroline > Lucy From the Internet (Grand Central was a great stage) > Kimberly's Lemonade (my favorite vendor of the last four years) > Meeting LoveLuckLaughter ,Adam, and easymorningrebel while losing my shit at Iggy > a bit of Grimes > Kimberlys > Seeing Julie and Sister System throwdown to a packed ODD > Joy Orbison > UMO/Danny Daze >
I didn't get enough time in Despacio like last year, especially with having to leave before the end of the second night and missing you guys, but hopefully they make miracles happen and convince James to be here every year.
I loved that they added way more art and Miami community throughout the fest and they fixed the sound bleed problem thats persisted a few years, like others have said you can feel every single aspect of this festival is curated with intention, which is so rare to find. I love this city and this festival and can't wait for next year and to meet more of you guys.
1. Iggy 2. Caribou 3. Despacio 4. Fred (it helped being front row and having my wife and I on the screen for awhile during Billie) 5. Caroline
stopped for like 8 mins to vibe at the LITERALLY EMPTY (I'm talking 10-12 people there) Nicholas G. Padilla set at Sequence which was honestly quite good and I felt rly bad for the dude
Happy to read someone caught Padilla. He’s a super nice guy and just released an EP on Danny Daze’s label. Florida represent!

I loved meeting you and your gal! And what a show Iggy was! Holy shit. DM me your number if you like, so we can make sure to get together next year!
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

I think I had more fun at iiiPoints in 2023 than at Coachella. I am very happy I didn't buy 2024 presale tix for Coachella. I already bought iiiPoints tix though
Justice? Barry Can't Swim? Ges? Who are we hoping we land in 2024?
how many days/weeks until we get a phase one announcement like last year?
some of the updates via Julie in the discord over the past few weeks, which I believe were along the following...
- first lineup wave coming after coachella W2; expect one headliner & another ~10 acts - the festival team feels its their top undercard lineup in years, and second-best headliner duo (only behind lcd/rosalia '22) - at least one of gesaffelstein/jamie xx/disclosure...and no justice - less "club space fest" feel, which I read as fewer DJs and more acts w/live instruments - no indication yet on despacio's return for a threepeat
