Community - Overrated because of completely troubled 4th season, points where the characters are terribly inconsistent except for Abed. Premise built on plucky students, while being just snarky enough to annoy certain people. Seinfeld - Overrated because some of the episodes are just, ok, while others are legendary. People have differing opinions on which character annoys them the most. It also feels like a show about well off people in NY, but a lot of that plucks from the writing chair. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia - Overrated because they go way over the top with the physical humor. Seasons are now shortened to make them worth watching imo, bc it's tough keeping any character development with stretched out seasons. Also just too jarring for some watchers. Curb Your Enthusiasm - If you don't like Larry David (as a writer/actor), you are just not going to like his sense of comedic timing. Some of those bits feel like you are supposed to be rooting for the bad guy and sometimes it doesn't work - Always Sunny has the same issues but with Charlie has the colorful dork.

I mean, pick your poison.
Seinfeld aired 9 seasons and 180 episodes total. Calling it overrated because some of them were “just OK” is ridiculous. No series ever has spit out nothing but masterpieces, let alone one that ran that long.
Seinfeld going before Community could be the most Inforoo thing ever.
I was going to make a joke about pivoting to being a "this is so typical of Inforoo!!" guy now that Arrested Development has been voted out, but you did it for me. So, instead, I present to you all a non-exhaustive supercut of people making overly broad generalizations about Inforoo when something they like gets voted out of a Survivor thread:
As I sit here enjoying my delicious spicy chicken sandwich and mashed potatoes with Cajun gravy from Popeye’s, I see that after ALL OF THIS, y’all are going to put Wendy’s and Taco Bell in the finals. I will never again question why Inforoo is so impressed with the spicy pie. It’s obvious now.
It's kinda wild that Inforoo is taking such a strong stand for a vax mandate resistor and anti LGBTQ corporation like In N Out. Noted trump supporters too.
The number people who are invested in "saving" an average at best chicken chain with a well-documented history of fighting against LGBTQ rights from losing an internet poll is... something.
Decent stacks of pancakes - all you can eat < 4.00. Average to below average burgers but good toppings. Good shakes. Do a GIS on their pancakes. It’s more of a short order place than the others, and you get wait service.
TBH it’s probably easily the best place left on the list which means Inforoo will probably kick it off.

What's the argument for Always Sunny being better than Seinfeld?
It's funnier and more self-aware and evolved as the writers did? I mean they had lot more time to evolve.
Also blame my upbringing being 90's California almost-trailer-trash, but I've NEVER found it funny. I love Julia Louis Dreyfus in "Veep" but even her stuff in "Seinfeld" doesn't do it for me. The guys? I don't get it.

I was going to reply but it seems like opinion-battling that goes nowhere, but I am from NJ/NY and I felt the same way during the run of the show. I use to try to watch the show when it was airing and I still can't get into anybody's character except for George.

That's comforting to hear! Sometimes I feel like I have to defend the reason I like it based on my background, so it's great that I could just say "I didn't find it funny!"

I'm not trying to convince anyone anything is funny since that's subjective. I don't think Always Sunny is funny, I don't think Curb is funny.
I do think Seinfeld was pretty self-aware. The finale alone...
Seinfeld definitely evolved as the writers matured or changed. You can definitely tell Larry David isn't involved in the last season for example.

you're the one saying it so I'm responding to you, but this isn't directed at you, just to be clear.
But people from NYC definitely have an air of something when a popular show is set in NYC. I almost said superiority, I don't mean for it to be like that, but it's definitely a feeling of being in on the joke. SNL is notorious for this to me.

YOU ARE ATTACKING ME
I kid. I agree, but I dunno…I don’t necessarily see it as a bad thing. There’s a relatability factor, and it’s impossible, at least for me, not to at least get a chuckle out of it. Like, I’d never gotten soup from the real person on whom the Soup Nazi is based, but I’d been to deli counters very much like that, so it worked on that level, for me.
I mean, that’s kind of the whole basis of observational comedy, right? Any joke that starts with “You know when…” is always going to land better if you actually do know when, because it’s something that jibes in some way with your lived experience. Seinfeld was built entirely around that - like, the close-talker thing lands better if you know someone who is a close talker, or etc.

Totally. I've in NYC most of my adult life, and it still doesn't resonate. So there ya go.
If we are talking about objectively best, Larry David is just on another level with the writing, so it's probably Seinfeld or Curb.
Always Sunny is often described as Seinfeld on meth, or Seinfeld for millenials. Yes, it's gone over the top in the last eight years or so, but that's also part of the appeal.
Community is very much the underdog, and everyone loves an underdog.

and that’s why that season sucked. Larry David is why Seinfeld was funny, but it wasn’t as pure Larry David as Curb. Also HBO and no laugh tracks. And honestly Larry is a more funny actor than all the characters that were just halfway based on him.
Seinfeld was still in the laugh track era where something funny is said or done and the actors have to “hold.” Like obviously ridiculous shit is happening around them and they aren’t reacting to it. Curb has characters laughing at other dumb shit characters do. It’s every bit as innovative as Seinfeld with the way Larry wrote outlines and allowed actors to basically improv. To me it’s the funny half of seinfeld that feels so much more real and relatable. A sidewalk conversation between Larry and Jeff has more potential than a conversation between George and Jerry. Curb is like the wire in that it’s so fucking good that it makes me take other shows less seriously.
I think we would have had the correct top 4 if it was AD in community’s place, but I’d put seasons 3, 4, 6, and 7 of curb over up against any shows top 4 seasons.
