Mafia 163: March Murders

i just went back to check on some D1R1 time stamps of votes to analyze the weird LD movement we all know happened. idk if this will help elucidate anything but i want to lay it out for us to look at

-Dan posts game at 7:23pm, at which point everyone has their roles and presumably maf has begun their chat.
-i throw in a vote first (on tranter) at 7:25pm, then theo follows, then cum...
-potent votes LD at 7:37pm
-JTR first votes Theo (8:07pm) but will switch to LD in the morning
-LD retaliates vote on Potent at 9:25pm

JTR and LD in last 4 to vote. Teddy brings this up, not the usual Potent (but im not going to read into this because it stands to reason that Inspo Teddy wanted to bring attention to LD being on that list, and im not gonna blame Potent for Teddy getting to posting that first).

So next morning:
-Potent switches off LD onto Teddy
-Less than an hour later JTR switches off Theo ONTO LD
-Then soon after LD posts this bizarre ass post, "LD > I forgot who I voted for but they're probably Mafia > JTR"
-And JTR very quickly goes "JTR > LD > Tranter" citing the fact that he missed Potent's vote
-Relevant to mention, cum is also participating in the jumping on/off these people on D1R1 too: "Cum > potent > LD" after JTR's switch but def might've just found it odd that this level of movement was going on, so wanted to get LD back in contention for runoff
-"LD > Someone > JTR > Potent"

please note: after ALL that mess, none of JTR, Potent or LD advance to runoff position. Potent - 1 (LD), LD - 1 (Cum), and JTR had zero votes by that point

when you decide to actually start playing halfway through the game

Do you really think the three mafia would tie themselves up this neatly this early in the game?

If there are two mafia left I’d be pretty surprised if they haven’t distanced themselves from each other pretty well.

i think there is definitely a potential tactic in the idea of maf bouncing on/off each other a bit D1 to 1) muddy things for future analysis and 2) so that if inspo comes out with name(s), they will have voted for each other already.

but i do think it looks slightly worse on potent than you because of that bizarre "LD>someone who is prob mafia>JTR" thing that potent had a weird reply to of like, "you forgot who you voted for? how strange. it was me." idk it just reads back inorganically.

my best guess is that if it ain't you/potent/LD, it is one of you or potent with one of the quieter/not particularly engaged players of either theo or jortles.

i lean town on both tranter and cum at this point.

I think you and Theo need to chat it out and go forward on JTR together. You being in this runoff alongside just potent is dumb when we get more clarity on who goes which way with jtr and potent both being in there.

I’m next to convinced that at least one of jtr or potent is mafia but if we put forward the wrong one alongside just you, that ain’t good

yeah it is also notable to me because in a recent dead thread (actually might’ve been last game’s?) Potent was bemoaning how when Town doesn’t work together D3 shit falls apart.

So here he is going from a town read of mine onto me , and I’m just really confused what’s going on in his head but I have no chance of learning bc he would rather “keep it to himself”
