I hope DC doesn’t go during the secret round, because I need the chance to drop a whole bunch of go-go and clips from DC Cab in the thread if I see it’s on its way out.

Philly is better than D.C. - I won't say it doesn't have culture or that it didn't contribute to the music scene, but to keep Washington D.C. and chuck Philly is like a personal insult to Questlove. Can you even SAY someone we should care about from D.C.?? Who was a part of the D.C. scene before they hit it big??

D.C. gave us Discord Records and some iconic punk acts, which i have a deep respect for, but philly gave us an embarassment of musical riches: patti labelle, joan jet, the roots, erykah badu, hall & oates, boyz ii men, dead milkmen, MFSB, teddy pendergrass, josh wink, stanley clarke, harold melvin and the blue notes, lee morgan, mccoy tyner, bobby timmons, and of course, the disco biscuits.

Rostam, Chuck Brown, Duke Ellington, Marvin Gaye, Thievery Corp, Rare Essence, Peaches and Herb. Howard University’s music had a huge influence on jazz music in general. A lot more to DC thank Discord Records
