going with FIFA here. releasing the same shit every year sucks. both creatively and financially.
this reasoning should lead to COD going early-ish as well, but the sheer amount of classics should keep it alive for a while. they have two different all time trilogies under their belt with Black Ops and Modern Warefare, as well as one of the strongest campaigns ever in World at War, which also gave us Zombies. I really despise modern COD / activision but it doesnt deserve to go first or second round.

Fair. I'm still going to vote for it every round until it's gone. It's purely an ethics thing for me. I acknowledge it's status as a FPS and how it's like a right of passage for college dorm bros. Not against Uncharted or FIFA going first.

I could not agree more with this take. I remember back when the first FPS WWII game came out - I can’t remember what it was called because I’m old and have been hit in the head a lot - that featured a Normandy beach landing sequence. At first, I was all, “Wow, this is intense,” then the sound effects of men screaming as they were gunned down got to me and I couldn’t help thinking of how many people really died that way, so I quit and never played the game again.
