Guitar Hero was probably the introduction for a lot of you to Grammy ™ Winning Metal Titans, Dream Theater, and on that alone it should survive another round

Yeah Im fine with Guitar Hero going here I guess. Would like Doom, MK, and Resident Evil to get a look shortly...
Wtf? Doom, Doom II, etc. are OG first person shooters. Some of the later games weren't necessarily as good, but the originals fucking ruled - particularly when Doom II came out and the double barrel shotgun made its appearance. Plus, it's not a shitty [tm] Nintendo game though they patched it to work on a couple of their systems.
Doom the movie was groundbreaking due to the 1st person shoot up scene towards the end of the movie. Unfortunately the graphics for the movie did not hold up.

I remember my friends and I snuck water guns into Doom so we could shoot along with the FPS action. Were very bummed when it turned out to be just one short scene at the end. Wasn't that like one of The Rock's first ever roles in a movie ?

The Mummy Returns and Scorpion King was his first real big roles as a non-wrestler. But apparently he was also in an episode of Star Trek: Voyager and a bit part in a movie called Longshot.
Honestly I have a great deal of respect for the person who had the balls to pitch a post-apocalyptic, cyberpunk Super Mario Bros movie, and probably even more respect for the person who had the balls to greenlight it.
All of the original Sonic games on Genesis were and still are awesome. Apart from one kinda fun one on Dreamcast, the rest were very mediocre to bad.
Probably has the best movies out of any other franchise here, and that says a lot for video game movies.
Sonic Mania, Adventure 1&2, Unleashed and Generations are all quite good imo. Even though the werehog segments were rough those stages had some of the best music in the entire series
DOOM 2016 and DOOM Eternal are two of the greatest FPSes ever
I couldn’t beat the last one which pissed me off. I got stuck on this level where you have to hang on to a side of a cliff and make your way to a cave opening while cacademons are fucking blasting you. I thought you’d be able to just wait for them and shoot ‘em, but I couldn’t figure it out. The previous one which you had to go down into hell and face satan was pretty great. Problem with that one was my daughter beat his ass, and when I tried it didn’t load that checkpoint and forced me to start that whole last level again. :/
But yeah. Doom won’t make it to the end but it’s got its place in PC lore following Escape from Castle Wolfenstein in 3D from the early 90’s (then Quake and Hexen). Those were super cool in that they’d give you a shareware version to play for free. Work was never going to be the same.
