wasnt just his management, fred himself and tbm were dismissive and rude to her, and she was the only person of color on the entire bill. definitely some racist undertones to how they treated her according to her account. also shitty that neither of them addressed this after numerous people have called them out
Look I 100% get working to bring diversity to music and electronic music in particular, and I also 100% get it that people can draw any conclusion they want, but it does seem a little extreme to say you are considering never listening to these people again (in the other thread) and redacting names off your favorite sets of the weekend off of one side to a story with no video evidence to corroborate and with an equally plausible explanation.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
i stand corrected, read into the reddit thread a bit and it does seem this was more on freds management than anything else. definitely fucked up but not cancellable over. just got quite heated
Favorite moments: Walking into the venue to go to the Yuma and I get a tap on my shoulder and Jortles and his girlfriend are there. Can’t overstate how happy that made me to see them both there. The crowd during Fred Again and Kyary were amazing, especially Fred Again. Yuma crowds for big sets were sick too. Tondo went crazy. I was in the back after Caroline and when Tondo came on everyone was partying. Even the people walking out were going nuts. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s cutesty and bubbly J Pop aesthetic, her high pitched voice and cotton candy colored star dress but she had multiple songs with hardcore and techno sections. I can still hear her saying “jump!” and just ass blasting us with bass. I was on a high already after this girl gave me her number and Daphni plays this. One of my favorite songs to hear at a set.
1. Caribou (best of the weekend) 2. DJ Koze 3. Floating Points Also loved Caroline Polacheck, Flume, Rina and Limperatrice this day was nuts
1. Jamie xx 2. Viagra Boys 3. Maneskin or Fred Again..
Favorite moments 1. Being very hungover and drunk and seeing my friends Jake Jortles and Peyton randomly walk into our campsite Saturday morning 2. Caribou - Sun goat tier live song 3. Caroline and oklou singing at flume back to back. 4. A song Daphni played that I don’t know but was insane.
This song went so hard. iirc it was like the 4-5th song.
If anyone has a video or his set or track id’s let me know.
Friday: 1. Phoebe Bridgers 2. Madeon 3. Harry Styles
Saturday: 1. Japanese Breakfast 2. Hot Chip 3. L'Imperatrice
Sunday: 1. Weeknd x SHM 2. Fred Again.. 3. Maneskin
Favorite Moments: 1. Phoebe Bridgers screaming on "The End is Here" 2. Everyone going on shoulders at Fred Again.. 3. Madeon on the elevated "cliff" near the end of his set

Friday: 1. The Avalanches 2. Carly Rae 3. IDLES
Saturday: 1. Caribou 2. Hot Chip 3. Caroline Polachek
Sunday: 1. Jamie XX 2. Fred Again.. (very close to being the best set except that it was so packed which made it a lot harder to dance the way I wanted to) 3. Blessed Madonna/Honey Dijon
Best Moments: 1. Hailey Williams coming out during Billie Eilish. Paramore was one of my favorite bands in high school and one of the reasons I got into live music. I literally teared up thinking about how I used to see them at 800 person clubs in the Midwest and now we're all here at the same beautiful amazing place almost 20 years later. I wasn't even originally planning on going to this set, so a huge thank you to Jaz for texting me his location so I could witness this. (and also for this hilarious/beautiful shot of my shock and awe in this moment: inforoo.com/post/2792656/thread) 2. The inforoo dance party in front of the ADA stage at Jamie XX. I'm not sure I've ever danced so hard (whilst mostly sober) at a set in my life. Thank you to all those people who witnessed for not making fun of me. 3. The live version of Sun at Caribou... Other worldly. 4. Fred Again..'s entire set. I'm not even really sure how to pinpoint what made that set so great, but it was just fantastic. 5. Whereispassionpit's salsa he made and brought to brunch. Absolute fire.
1. Hayley Williams! Never thought I'd hear Misery Business live
Oh boy, I hope you get to experience it with the full band someday! It's a whole party, especially when they bring a fan on stage to sing and rock out to the end of the song. Misery Business is surprisingly not one of my favorite Paramore songs recorded (they're my all time favorite band) but it's a whole different story live lol

I'll be at WWWY, but keeping my expectations low that they'll actually play it.
