Final Fantasy seems like a much more important series with more all-time classics than Elder Scrolls. It wouldn't be the worst thing if Pokémon went here, though. The first 151 Pokémon are cool but there are a lot of pretty lame ones now. They have been attempting to shake up the formula a little bit lately with the MOBA, Pokémon Go, etc. so that is cool.
I do wish we had more for each genre in this survivor though, FF being the sole JRPG series and MK being the sole fighting game series is sad. would have been nice to see Dragon Quest, SMT/Persona and SF here instead of series like Tomb Raider, Animal Crossing and FIFA
The first Halo may be the best game on the original Xbox. The level design. The music. The multiplayer.
I don't recall loving Halo 2 as much. I just know it was my first foray into Xbox Live along with verbal abuse from an internet stranger, thus turning me off from online gaming in general.

Halo 2 is my fav in the series, would definitely reccommend playing the remaster when you have a chance

One of the many reasons I don't like to play online with strangers.
I would give up TES before final fantasy no question, Skyrim is amazing, oblivion was great but I have no interest in going back to it, and I don't think I knew anyone that ever played 1 or 2

Interesting. I think most people in the Elder Scrolls fanbase would say they prefer Oblivion. Skyrim was obviously the better engineered game, but I think Oblivion had more charm and better guild quests.
Personally to me, neither blew my mind as much as the first time I played Morrowind.

I've never had any XBoxes but Halo is pretty much the definitive FPS. Played through Halo 2 co-op I think with my college roommate on Legendary. And I've played a shitload of Destiny and enjoy that. Bungie is just so good at making gunplay fun.
Speaking of Destiny, if anyone is playing Witch Queen my buddies and I are starting to play more with this expansion. Supposedly it's the best Destiny campaign so far, and they've added a Legendary difficulty. PM me your Bungie ID and I'll add you on there.
Gotta be for real and say I didn't expect Grand Theft Auto to make it this far untouched.
No one here will probably take issue with the ethics quandary of glamorizing and gussying up of violent criminal lifestyles, but all that aside I've never really felt much replay value in the game after completing the campaigns. The whole alt-style of gameplay with civilian killing-sprees and outrunning cops just never seemed fun after my teen years.

Feel free to dogpile this.
i think the sheer attention to detail in every aspect is whats keeping it here. GTA IV is my fav because the ragdoll effects are just unmatched

I love gta but that’s a fair criticism. I only play through the campaign like twice per game but I love just doing random shit in the world.

One plus I'll give GTA is the scale of building an open world urban environment. It's much more impressive to me than just rolling hills and mountains with some small villages thrown in.

I platinum’d Skyrim but never tried any of the other games in the series. The main problem with Skyrim was the system it was on…. when I got to the end of that game I had so much lag on that PS console that it was turning into a headache to play. The console did the same for Dark Souls when I originally played it.
I am glad the PS5 can now handle these bigger games.
I never did try any of the newer online version(s) of Elder Scrolls.
