red/blue were basically perfect games at release, so I don't fault them too much for recycling the same sort of mechanics and everything but after so many a lot of the new monsters are pretty dumb, like Ice Cream cone guy and a collection of gears guy

if I wasn't voting Pokemon, I'd be voting Zelda. Just never enjoyed those games
Zelda was my favorite as a kid so I’d definitely pick it out of any Nintendo property but I’m not hard core for it. Although BotW was badass. Was surprised how much I got sucked into it.
The original Zelda is the first game I remember beating. Big deal at the time.
I feel like every consoler Zelda game was an event for me. Impossible to pick a favorite. I don't think a game has ever affected me as much as Majora's Mask. Ocarina of Time is often called the greatest game of all time. Twilight Princess is so well rounded and huge, like a more finely sharpened Ocarina. Skyward Sword had such a great story and christ, the music. And I dont think theres ever been a game where I've wished I could play it again for the first time more than Breath of the Wild.
