I’m curious as to what you hate about them. They seem like a pretty neutral band on the list. I only saw them once (‘93), and they were pretty good.
They were probably my favorite band from like 92-95.
I usually left them on when they came on alternative radio - probably still do. I didn’t feel like they ever got to the level of the best of Seattle or janes addiction. But they were still talented. I thought Scott was decent in Velvet Revolver, and I watched an STP set last year from Europe and was interested enough to stick with it. But people get hard-ons for different things they don’t like so I had to ask.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

When they came out they didn't seem to make any attempt to do anything unique. They seemed to be content to mirror already popular grunge artists. I developed an early animosity towards them that I never felt any interest in letting go.
Honestly, they're probably better than my opinion of them but I feel no desire to revisit their catalog.
Anyways, the only act in this thing that I dislike as much is the Offspring and they've already been given the boot.

Don't justify yourself to these animals, STP fucking sucks.

IIRC that was really just the case on Plush ( Core I guess was the album?)They had a fairly diverse catalogue regardless of how good the end product was.
Yeah Core was a fairly boring paint by numbers grunge album, although it did have some good songs on it. Purple, tiny music, and 4 all sounded different though so really removed them from being just another band. Plus Scott is one of the better 90s rock frontmen
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

I’m going with Pantera for now. They’re the only band on the list that weren’t played on my local “college radio” station. As metal bands go, I’m sure they’re delightful. It’s just not my bag.

They carried the torch for a while. Texas. Respect Walk. Five Minutes Alone. I’m Broken. All killer ‘hits’

I realize this. They’re just not for me.
The three intend to vote for next are Pantera, Smashing Pumpkins, and RHCP. I’m not really particular about the order.
