When they came out they didn't seem to make any attempt to do anything unique. They seemed to be content to mirror already popular grunge artists. I developed an early animosity towards them that I never felt any interest in letting go.
Honestly, they're probably better than my opinion of them but I feel no desire to revisit their catalog.
Anyways, the only act in this thing that I dislike as much is the Offspring and they've already been given the boot.
IIRC that was really just the case on Plush ( Core I guess was the album?)They had a fairly diverse catalogue regardless of how good the end product was.
Sex Type Thing could be an Alice In Chains song. Creep could be a Nirvana song. Wicked Garden could be a Pearl Jam song.
I don’t 100% believe the apology but I’ve seen fucked upness like this before. The crowd was apparently calling him a racist before it happened sort of thing.

that’s what I just said. It’s only the first album that’s like that. I just had the album title wrong because I haven’t listened to them in forever. But yeah, the only album that fits your description is that first one.

Like I said, that's when I made up my mind about them.
Thanks sang. I blasted Batmotorfinger and Superunknown in the time it took me to get from New Orleans to Pensacola. Missing them and always will. :crying:
Phil was really good friends with my brother Joe and used to come over to our house all the time while I was growing up. My brother's best friend Dustin is the dude in the fire on the cover of Reinventing the Steel (it's actually two shots photoshopped together because there wasn't one with good top and bottom placement). Dustin was their roadie for YEARS until some accident happened and he seriously fucked up his back. Phil definitely sucks, but I do like their music.

I'm not doing forensics on which was created first. Someone asked why I don't like them and I explained that it was because their early singles sounded like/ were marketed as bands that I already liked.
