Mothers and Fathers day have an easy, practical point to just give appreciation to said parent.
Whether you're christian or secular, everything about Easter is stupid. Jesus rising from the dead (didnt happen), giant man-sized rabbit (terrifying) hides eggs (what). Oh but the candy.

Your distaste for Mother or Father's Day will very depending on how shitty your own mother or father are, but Mother's Day seems to have drastically worse and more dangerous drivers on the road for some reason, so it edges out any feelings of ill will I have toward my parents.
Even if you are religious, Easter has kind of morphed into a holiday that is different than its original intentions. The Easter bunny and hiding eggs have nothing to do with Jesus… Easter is also the kick off of allergy season for me 😂

I'm saying "Memorial Day" because too many damn weddings happen that weekend and flights and hotels are always expensive AF. And no candy!
Memorial Day weekend is Boston Calling weekend, with the built in day of rest after the fest. So I'm inclined to keep it around. Though I can see why people wouldn't like it.

I've worked a couple places where July 4th is a top 3 day for the year, but mostly it's a ghost town. Easter and Mother's Day are awful basically everywhere.
