Since it's the 10th SK, think they might do a very special SK (genre specific focus (emo), legends (Who), or reunion (Hole)) or do we just get the same amazingly curated, entertaining fest we get every year?

I think the only thing they’ll likely do is some kickoff party at The Earl or something that has Portugal the Man

There are a ton of bands that are celebrating 1st album milestones next year (40th anniversary): Swans, Suicidal Tendencies, Minor Threat (imagine a MT/Fugazi superjam at Masquerade), REM, Social Distortion, Sonic Youth,Tears for Fears, Big country,Cyndi lauper,Metallica, Violent Femmes, Madonna. Obvs several of these aren't possible (Big Country, Sonic Youth w Kim, REM if you believe them) but we can dream.
That said anyone think Metallica is too big for SK and would New Order be in the David Byrne/Tears for Fears spot or are they big enough to headline?

Fuck it, let New Order headline! Although yeah they're probably #4

Shaky is getting bigger every year so I think they could pull Metallica. You’d just have to pair them with a couple smaller headliners.
