This feels like an SK headliner group. Solid, but at least one act for everyone to complain about. /s
I still think we have a chance of seeing Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, and The Black Keys unless Dan decides to tour The Arcs album. The Cure seems poised for a US tour in the Spring, so I guess they're possible.
I'm doubting Depeche Mode based on tour dates. Even though there's a gap, I don't see them hanging in the US for 3 weeks after their last scheduled NYC date just to play SK. Maybe they will announce a string of added dates? I feel like SOAD will do the Wimmer Presents tour, if they do anything outside of the West Coast. That being said, my high school self would like to see them. Same with Metallica.
My undercard guesses based on new/upcoming album releases, tour gaps, and just random thoughts: Flaming Lips 20th of Yoshimi, The Arcs, YYYs, Phoenix, Weezer, Tyler Childers, Future Islands, Mitski, Portugal the Man, Iggy Pop, Noel Gallagher, Japandroids, Idles, PoTM, Goose, AFI 20th of Sing the Sorrow, Wet Leg, The Lathums, Young Fathers, Rival Sons, Dutch Uncles, Black Honey, Something Corporate, Hello Mary, Viagra Boys, Snail Mail, We Are Scientists, King Tuff, Gaslight Anthem, July Talk, Circa Waves, The Men, Civic, Pigs x7, Pile, Algiers, DMA’s, Fidlar, Teleman, Gaz Coombes, Fran, Murder Capital, The Academic, Slotface, Surf Curse, Manchester Orchestra, TALK, Murder by Death, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Placebo, Maya Hawke, Swans?
Wild card prediction: Pearl Jam - The Killers - Bon Iver
Yeah, The Killers would be a very LN-ass booking that I can see happening.
Either way, the formula is shaping up to be something like: 1. Big, expensive legacy (The Cure, DM, RHCP, PJ) 2. B-tier but still established & popular (Muse, Black Keys, The Killers, hell I'll even throw in KOL & Beck) 3. Smaller indie darlings that would only be a HLer at a fest like SK (Bon Iver, VW, Smashing Pumpkins, Glass Animals)

SP are bigger than Beck. I’m not aware of any US festival they played but haven’t headlined in recent memory.

I'd be really surprised if Depeche Mode isn't there, I've never seen Tim's random FB likes not be confirmations.
The Killers also popped in my mind as a possible meh booking. Feels strange they haven't played this fest yet given all the other ones they've headlined. They put on an entertaining show imo, but it's just too common to wish for it. Won't lie and say their Firefly 2018 show isn't near the top of my all-time shows list though, so I wouldn't complain much if they were booked.
So something like Depeche Mode - The Killers - Bon Iver seems really possible.
The Killers is one of those acts that I’m never overly excited about going in but leave feeling fully satisfied. Have seen them at the opry house in Nashville, at a festival, and in an arena during the most recent run. All 3 times they exceeded my expectations.
Some confirmations via Songkick. Not looking good honestly, but Depeche Mode might still get me there.
How accurate is songkick
Generally fairly accurate. It occasionally generates random shows that aren’t happening, but it leaked the headliners for the 2020 fest (rip) accurately a few days before they came out.

Given the misalignment of the artists to the Line-up text (plus missing the colon after up), plus this doesn't show up when you go to the Shaky Knees page on Songkick, this was either put up and quickly taken down or an ok fake.

I was going to fix the colon and alignment, but I figured it’d be a waste of time because everyone would know it’s a fake from the artist selections.

Well I really won't have the PTO time to make this happen next year so if that is the actual lineup... I'm alright with it. Feeling sorry for y'all tho.
