What are ya'll late night hopefuls? I'm gonna have to pace myself because I'll have to go to at least one maybe 2. In 2019 I went too hard on Friday and barely made it to Fidlar, only to pass out standing up against the wall before they came on.

Mars Volta, Placebo, The Walkmen, Live, Future Islands. Aiming for the mid/upper portion of the list.

I just hope they release the schedule before the late night shows like last year. They normally don't and it's hard to know which to choose so I normally just don't and then the ones I'd have been interested in are sold out.

Pond would definitely be ideal as a LN show. Looking at past schedules it seems like the top 4-5 undercard acts snake back between Peachtree and Piedmont and are usually safe not to conflict. It's after that you're really vulnerable. For me, the biggest worry is Phantogram and the acts above on Sat, unless you put them against 311 which would be a real blessing. Grouplove or Placebo against Greta Van Fleet would be the Friday blessing. Sunday I just hope Pond, Flaming Lips, and Live don't conflict. I can take or leave the others.
Last year was our first SK. Just occurred to me that there was another fest going on the same weekend as last year (Sweetwater 420) and I realized I have not heard anything about that for 2023. Did it croak due to gun laws? And if so, I wonder why that killed 420 but not SK?
Man fuck these ticket sites, Vivid seats has nearly $200 in fees
don’t use vivid seats nor seatgeek. Just stick to stubhub and Ticketmaster resale.
Honestly don’t even bother with resale right now. Wait until people’s plans fall through and look around April.
Second piece of advice - waiting until closer to the event - is good.
First piece of advice - stick to StubHub and Ticketmaster resale - is nonsense. Go with whichever site is cheapest (after fees). For sake of comparison right now, cheapest single ticket:
TickPick - $431 Gametime - $504 SeatGeek - $514.06 Vividseats - $526.84 StubHub - $537 Ticketnetwork - $552.42 Ticketmaster Resale - Not even selling tickets for the event

420 Fest organizers claiming the GA gun law (or lack thereof) is the main reason they are downsizing the festival and not having it at Centennial. Although maybe that's a convenient excuse, they really made the festival bigger the last 5 years and maybe they weren't seeing the return they expected. Plus no one that I know in Atlanta drinks Sweetwater anymore bc there are better craft breweries all over the area now

woah woah woah sweetwater is great
Hey if someone gives me one I'll drink it but considering other local beers/breweries around here it's pretty meh IMO.

Too many breweries to keep track. Same deal up here in the Baltimore area. Everyone with a few acres of land or a large industrial space is opening a microbrewery. Any ATL recommendations? Bonus points for having a location in the downtown area + being open early enough to visit before heading to SK for the day. I've been to Torched Hop and New Realm. SweetWater is everywhere. I wish SK would bring back some local brews.

new realm was such a disappointment for the location they got, idk if it's gotten better in the last few years but was a huge letdown for me when it opened. everything was capital F Fine and no better.
for SK area torched hop is pretty much as good as you're gonna get, most of the rest are a little ways away. you could probably make three taverns imaginarium on memorial or halfway crooks in summerhill work though, neither are too too far but not sure on hours.
