Shaky was my first festival and I went solo. so if trantsgiving never finds a ticket I’ll manage but it would be really sad if no one was there to report on the crazy pit I started at the lumineers

There’s a pair for $811 on the Ticketmaster exchange right now. A little steep for me but figured one of you guys might wanna lock in at that price. The lowest I’ve seen in weeks.

Finally found a good price for a three day pas off StubHub, now just waiting on it to get here. Looking at Friday’s schedule will probably be sticking around Peachtree most of the day, Grouplove, Greta, and Killers all bands I’m interested in and getting rail at The Killers is my number one goal right now
Finally got our act together for Spring festivals and we’re returning to Shaky for the first time since 2018! Waited out all the spring lineups, and this one offers the most for our alt/indie tastes. We grabbed Verified Resale last week for low $300’s- not great, but in line with other festivals.
Really looking forward to Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Manchester Orchestra, Soccer Mommy and a ton of undercard I’ve been hoping to see for a long time.
Anyone staying downtown- the Marquis Marriot, about a 12” walk from the gates, has a great craft-beer sports bar bistro. It was the perfect after-party hangout in 2018.

Trader Vic's at the Hilton is the place to go. Not sure how late they're open but it's one of the few downtown hotel bars that locals actually go to. Bartenders are awesome, drinks are strong

I've also always stayed at the Marquis for Shaky Knees. Close walk to the fest, and yeah that bistro is great after the fest
I still haven’t received the tattoo email and now my stummy is starting to hurt
Last year they didn't send it out til 10 days before the fest. we're still 15 days away. If we haven't gotten them by this time next week that would be the time to worry I think.

Or, they aren’t sending me my confirmation bc they found out about all the fake shaky knees I’ve been booking and they’re sending me a cease and desist instead

someone on Reddit regarding the one entrance:
“The use of the non-park civic center to check for guns is interesting. Might allow the festival to ignore state law related to guns on park property.”
Very nervous that everyone will need to enter through one single entrance. I could see that being a huge mess.
Shaky replied to people on Instagram about this saying although they will only have one entrance they will have more lines to get in than ever before. So that makes me feel better. I see they are using private property as the entrance to get by the gun laws.
Email says the Ponce stage has been upgraded it's way farther back than usual. They haven't used that area of the parking lot since 2015
I remember seeing Mac Demarco at Ponce when it was pushed all the way back on that parking lot and while it was a great set, it felt like an oven. Hoping they have something in mind to mitigate.

It was hot period in 2015, low 90s if I remember correctly. Those two lower stages on pavement were just radiating heat. And a looong, uphill walk from there to the main stages. Great views at least since they're on a downslope. Not supposed to be as hot this year, high 70s I believe, assuming the forecast is even remotely accurate. So that should help.
