Anchor Oyster Bar in the Castro does a great dungeness. My personal favorite is at R&G Lounge in Chinatown, they do an amazing cantonese fried dungeness crab that is to die for.

I think I'm going to hit up R &G. Any other Chinatown recs? Also I've been told that for Sand Dabs Sotte Mare and Tadich Grill are some of the best spots. Is that correct?

I can't speak to Sand Dabs honestly, but those are both good restaurants. Tadich is the oldest continuously run restaurant in California and really excellent in general.
Other Chinatown/north beach recs: Li Po Cocktail Lounge is a dive bar institution, get yourself a chinese mai tai and have fun. China Live is like Eataly for chinese food; above it is Cold Drinks, which is an amazing if pricy cocktail bar. If you want dim sum, go to Yank Sing. If you want Michelin-star dining, go to Mister Jiu's. On the edge of Chinatown near North Beach, Comstock Saloon is great for upscale classic cocktails. If you go there you might also pop over to Vesuvio Cafe for a boilermaker and to hang out with the ghosts of the Beat Generation.

I just noticed that inforoo replaces "c_ocktail" with "roostertail" which I find highly amusing.
The real question is what's the go to late night spot for eats? I'm sure there's many around where I'm staying (union square at one of the hotel packages) but any specific recs?
Flying out tomorrow morning and catching Gorillaz tomorrow night, man I'm pumped to be in a new city with such a packed week of fun

If we're sticking to the chinatown/north beach area, Sam's is another institution (between this and Li Po I'm aware I'm just suggesting places Anthony Bourdain loved, but that's fine). Great burgers, divey atmosphere. Golden Boy Pizza up there is a staple of late night drunk dining. If you find yourself on polk street, Bob's Donuts are simply the best. If you're in the mission, El Farolito is the second best burrito in the city and open late (La Taqueria is the best, but closes around 9. And also many people will fight over which is better between the two, you can't go wrong). In a neighborhood called Duboce Triangle, toward the Castro, the Detour is a fun arcade bar that has food til 2am. In the mission, ABV and Trick Dog both serve good food til 2am with excellent cocktails. In NOPA, on Divisadero, Horsefeather has good bites and drinks.
I'm pretty sure all of those spots are still open til 2am Friday and Saturday nights, but things might've changed post-covid (and it's been awhile since I've been scrounging for late night bites in SF). As far as Union Square goes, there's probably some places to grab a bite as needed, but to be honest it's much more of a hotel/shopping district, though there are quite a few great cocktail bars around.

El Farolito particularly piqued my interest, thanks Braun!
I know mushrooms are decriminalized in San Fran but my friend sent me a link where you can literally get mushrooms delivered to you in the Bay area. is that a legit option/how illegal is that lol...?
