I opted to hold off on Avalanches tickets because I think there's a good chance they will be at CRSSD along with Moderat and who knows what else (maybe Soulwax?????). I'm really hoping CRSSD shares a decent amount of acts with Portola and that both festivals thrive this fall.

God damn. I was thinking about doing that one too pending what tickets look like on the secondhand market.
Is there any chance this is like Second Sky and they do the same lineup both days? Seems unlikely but it also seems to be working for that one.
Naw. They wouldve just had it be a single day from the get go and not have it be the weekend itself.
I guess the question then is why Second Sky does it that way? I could see the appeal for someone like Chemical Bros getting paid for two performances in two days instead of just one. (Fully expecting different lineups each day, but not so secretly hoping for the same each day for the sake of my body)

Bigger question is are you willing to drop $300 for a single day? Whens that ever been a thing.

I’d assume that would still be for two days. A two day pass for Single Sky is $320. Same lineup both days though.

Goldenvoice's MO is to announce the festival as a single day and then "surprise" everyone when they announce the second day with the same lineup. not sure why Second Sky doesn't do it the same way, but maybe it's a Porter thing with the "second" thing being part of the schtick.

So what about TANP. Thats not one day. 🤔
right, so not included in the "single day" festivals.
