I am looking in to getting a 14x10 tent. 8x10 sleeping area, with an attached 6x10 screened porch. This is ideal for the built in shaded hang out area and such. I have some other options, but I'd like to see what other people think.

You should probably be all right...I used an 8x10 as seen in the picture...We did get lucky however, being on the end of the row, and the people in the VW bus that was next to us left soon after getting there...
If you don't need the porch thing you could leave it...but just make friends. That's what Bonnaroo is all about. Just be friendly and everything should be peachy.
My buddy and I had something like a 12 man tent plus our shade canopy and there was still plenty of room on either side of us. Just be ready to set that tent up as soon as you get out of the car. Then help the neighbors set theirs up so they aren't as pissy about you taking their space.
i had a tent a little bigger than that last year and had plenty of room....we even had a shade tent and a poop tent!! this year i downsized a little and just bought this dome tent....i had to retire the big tent after 2 bonnaroos and several phish festivals
you're right.....the bugaboo by columbia it was $108 on amazon.com i could have signed up for an amazon credit card and had $30 knocked off but the last thing i need is another credit card!! they did have free shipping though :-)
^^^yep. you can also check out the reviews on amazon.com I like it b/c you can adjust those little flappy things for a nice shady spot to keep you cooler
Amazon.com seriously, plus they have reviews for everything. most tents are cheaper than on ebay, and you usually don't have to pay shipping. I was researching for quite awhile
I finally bought the Wenger Lugano on ebay for a little over $70. It's 16x10 with a ton of "windows" for ventilation. Even with shipping, it was still less than half the price of Amazon.
Since we're still a few months away (DAMNIT!), I'd suggest scouting around for the tent you'd like and then checking ebay periodically.

this is the coleman tent we have, but ours is orange and gray I believe. I love this tent! It had some nice feautres like a gear loft, a sky light, and some zip ups that allowed ventalition to get through without the bugs and all.
My only suggestion is to buy sturdier pegs than the ones your tent comes with, because the plastic ones were pieces. The ground was so tough, it was hard to get them through, and they smashed to pieces. I think they have metal ones and stuff at sports and outdoors retailers.
But a great tent AND shade is necessity to having an enjoyable bonnaroo experience. We met some people who were super broke and had to sleep in their car. Not an option for me!

This is the same tent (the orange one) that I am about to buy off of eBay for a little over $50 with shipping!
I am actually thinking about just using this as our canopy considering it will only be 2 or 3 of us.
