Booking a band you could have seen at literally any outdoor amphitheater in the US this past summer as the top line for the beginning of the festival season next year is really fucking uninspired.

I'm in the minority here I think but I'm thrilled! The headliners are an interesting choice but that undercard is fattt. Loving the return of Odesza, Big Boi, and LSDream. Excision will definitely cause some noise complaints from the neighbors lol. I can't wait to cry at Odesza's show.
That is absolutely not Excision though, that would be Griz. Most people I’ve seen are confused as to why Excision is on there, same with Sullivan King.
I’m not that big of a fan of the lineup overall, but there are a few cool shows I’d want to see. Thursday - Excision, Break Science, Daily Bread and New Thousand who is a street jam-hiphop band from here (violin, keys, hand drums). Friday has Goose, Channel Tres, Free Nationals, Mr. Carmack (seeing tonight for the first time in 6 or 7 years), Sunsquabi, IT WZ (haven’t seen that collaboration, but I dig Chee live). Saturday has EW&F, Big Boi and a Widdler comp - hadn’t seen him around in a while. I don’t know Tinlicker except they are from Holland, so maybe that would be a cool show. Sunday I like Keem, Turnstile, Dirty Heads are usually fun if not a bit played out, Peggy and Flipturn. That could be a fun day. My kids ran down there the first 3 or 4 years, but I don’t think anyone’s going as of now. So I won’t get daily live looks. :/

How was Mr. Carmack? One of the acts I wanted to check out.
He was a lot of fun. I didn't know my daughter actually knew him from prior visits, so we all got backstage/green room passes. But a friend of ours was on the other side in the super VIP booth and invited us in to watch it there. This tour was him focusing on 10 years of his work - mixes and trap mostly. It was a little hard but on the chill side of hard. I always liked him, but I only saw him years ago at Buku at The Ballroom where the sound was too low and wanted to give him another chance. Good time.
