I promise I didn't do anything to save Battery, it just happened to be like that when I came back to the thread tonight

For those voting against Black Skinhead, FYC:

I hate Ye but this sound is phenomenal. Voting for the Talking Heads song.

I feel a little weird as apparently the biggest Beastie Boys hater on the board.

I think this round proves that you're voting for the band as much as, if not more than, the song. I wouldn't have Landslide in my top 20 Fleetwood songs but I'm not voting that because I know they have songs left I like more than other bands here.

And while I think Black Skinhead is great, the Yeezus era is not everyone's favorite time in Kanye's career. So I'm not surprised it's getting votes, no reason to think he's getting votes in bad faith.

Yeah if it's a three way race between Ivy, Black Skinhead and Sure Shot that's an easy call for me (with all respect to the Beasties)

It's pretty easily Ivy for me today, and this survivor so far has made me really, really question what people like about Frank so much. I straight up don't get it

only a few of Frank Ocean tracks really connect with me: "Pilot Jones", "Thinkin Bout You", and "Nikes".

i don't know how these songs sit with the general Frank Ocean fanbase.

and i didn't really get "Nikes" until i heard it in the "High Fidelity" TV series. they played it at the perfect fucking time and it hit me like a pillow case filled with soap bars.

so it's like i get it, i get why this is an artist people could be obsessed with. he's mysterious, he's scarce. the album cover for "Blond" is one of the best album covers of the past decade. i don't know if that's a weird take but it looks like something that should be hanging in a museum. but most of his music isn't my speed, it isn't for me i guess and that's OK.

I really just enjoy it less than all the others though. That's the point of this survivor. 🤷‍♂️

I enjoy many other Kanye songs so I'm willing to bet my vote won't go towards him tomorrow.

Five Years seems like a weird 4th-best Bowie song.
