We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

The only festival that I have never missed a single year of. And for good reason. Personally curated by the members of Wilco with so many unique experiences and intallments, all on the campus of MASS MoCA. Will be camping by the Little Hoosic river on the NY side because I get in trouble at Solid Ground campground. Curfew of like midnight, sleeping moms and dads who don't like my style of festivaling.
This dad is totally bummed he can’t make the trek to be among all his fellow dads enjoying all his favorite dad jams.
Y'all dads go fucking wild this weekend, I know. I always bring light up ballons to lay next to various sleeping children to save them from drunken, dancing dads.

I’ve never made it. Massachusetts is quite a trek from Ohio. One of these days…
Yeah, you have like 3.5 more hours than I do. But it is on the other side of the state from Boston, so it does knock off a few hours for you. Still about 12.

Finally secured my campsite. My usual haunt was booked up, save for an open field and I want some trees and gotta be next to a river or crick or something. So on to a new joint that actually seems right up my alley. No RVs allowed, very primitive looking, but has some electrity available for my lights and has a shower house.
Will start the packing tomorrow and leave tomorrow night. Not taking Uncle Tupelo or Jane Smiley this year, which always makes me sad. But getting very excited for my first music fest of the year! Pat Sansone, yer girl is a comin' back to ya!
