Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Welcome (back) to TN and welcome (back) to the farm.
For those of you that have been, you know, for those of you that haven't, please listen to this friendly message.
This week, we are seeing record heat and heat indices that appear to run, at least, through Fri, however, Sat and Sun won't be much better.
Temperatures from today through Friday are pushing 98 - 100 degrees and heat indices will be above 105 and, at time, close to 110. Sat and Sun will be 91 - 92 degrees.
The humidity is oppressive.
Please prepare for this. Please stay hydrated. Bring twice as much water as you think you'll need and pack bottles with you or bring a refillable into Centeroo. The water in Centeroo is actually very good and free stations are plentiful.
This festival (and this message board specifically) has seen too many deaths over the years, with many of those, heat related.
Stay safe, have fun, watch out for your friends, neighbors and those around you at camp and inside the venue.
Essentials are water, sunscreen, water, a big hat, water, light clothing, water and most importantly, WATER!!!!
The shopping cart is the ultimate litmus test for personal self-governance. To return the shopping cart is an easy, convenient task and one which we all recognize as the correct, appropriate thing to do. To return the shopping cart is objectively right. Only in dire emergencies should a person is not return their cart. Simultaneously, it is not illegal to abandon your shopping cart. Therefore it presents as the apex example of whether a person will do what is right without being forced to do so.

This guy knows what is up. I think a lot of years is "It's hot, but it's the South. What do you expect?" This year is hot for the South. Most everyone I know is actively avoiding going outdoors during this week or is actively hating life when they do. I went outside after 10pm last night and still immediately commented in my head that it was warm.
The real feel is the bitch. Right now it's just 90. But feels like 99.And it's only 10:45. It's worse than I have seen it in a long time. And I've been around a long time. So as they have said above, stay hydrated. Watch after out for each other. Party late night. Be careful during the day. Drink a shit ton of water.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

I have gone to the last 4 Roos in an RV after years of tent camping. But this year my entire crew backed out so I am rolling solo back in tent GA. I hope those RV air conditioned nights haven't made me too soft. But I am bringing a small generator to run some fans.
NGL, I’m stressing the heat a bit. I know I’ll survive, but I’m concerned the vibes won’t.
The fact that you are stressing about it is probably a good thing. Means you're taking it seriously. Like others have said, keep it low key during the day and drink more water than you would think, and you will be fine.
If anyone is worried about the heat and will be coming through Nashville, send me a message and I’ll let you borrow all my battery-op fans and cooling towels.

I made one rule the last few years I went that was I had drink my water bottle (or like 32 oz of water) before I had another beer during the sunlight. I felt good and was super hydrated.
It also saved me money and I didn’t finish stories with “and that’s how I woke up in the parking lot of the gas station at the end of Bushy Branch”.

In 2015, I passed out during the first act on the first day of Forecastle. It was just unbearably hot, and I hadn’t thought to have any water yet. It was totally not embarrassing at all. (Edit: It was embarrassing.) Since then, I chug water all day long at festivals, and I generally don’t have any booze until dinner time or so.
I find that having a camelbak helps me drink a ton more water than if I were carrying a bottle around. I can mindlessly sip on that little straw while at a show and can go through my whole bladder (3L) multiple times a day.
I also pick up some electrolyte/B vitamin mix to add to the my camelbak. I started doing it to cover up the sulphur taste back in the day, but it definitely helps with flavor and hydration.
damn so you’re telling me i can’t have a beer for breakfast?
I think the move is at least 8 oz. of water for every alcoholic bevvy. In this heat, maybe more, and toss in some electrolyte powder or something like that.
So, breakfast beer is probably OK with a Pedialyte chaser.

my initial goal was to arrive Wednesday by 12pm but I'm now thinking I might wait until a little later to try and avoid the worst of the heat Wednesday

yep! we plan to line our coolers with them in addition to some ice, and then, once they start to melt, always replace one with one from the rest of the case that isn’t cold yet!
