I got hooked on sparkling water when I was working at a law firm and they had the fridge stocked with coke and unflavored san pelligrino. quit drinking cokes a long time ago, so the bubble water really hit the spot. they don't all have to have weird flavors (lookin' at you, lacroix).
I do think it's weird when bubble water is the only water someone drinks though.
Why weird? I never grab a glass of tap water and rarely a bottled regular water. I mix no flavor sparkling with whiskey but will drink it straight on a hot day. Otherwise i generally don’t drink water. I never thought of that as particularly weird so I’m asking.
I guess I just drink lots of water. easily 2-3 quarts a day, even more if I'm working outside a lot or exercising or whatever. memphis has some of the best water in the country so i've always just drank it straight out the tap since I was a kid. coke and fruit juice were "special" drinks as a kid and I rarely got them so water was just normalized as the go-to beverage for staying hydrated, and everything else is for enjoyment. That continued through to adulthood. I bring a nalgene of water with me everywhere, and that became even more important when I was in arizona and you could get dehydrated just from everyday life because it was so hot and dry all the time. I couldn't imagine drinking like 5 or 6 cans of seltzer a day. But i do know people who just don't drink water, it's weird to me. I love water. I like clear pee.
That’s what I thought. It tastes like water because that’s what it is. If people don’t like carbonation or need flavor in their carbonation, maybe that’s shitty. Diet Coke tastes like shitty chemicals to me because that’s what it is. Haters gonna hate I guess.
Fizzy water got me off coke. Idk if aspartame or whatever tf they put in diet soda is bad for you, but I decided water was probably better and made the switch. I just like carbonated stuff and it’s the healthiest option if you’re gonna drink a lot of it daily.
It is. Most soft drinks are except the craft ones. Those are a little too sweet for me nowadays, but at least they taste like the flavors they are (and quality of ingredients over just mixing up chemicals). I agree with Jaz about aspartame and saccharine. Maybe people just got used to those chemical flavors, idk. I voted for pop which is one of the three poorest remaining options.
What is it like crushed up bugs to make “red” for red flavor. And Esther of tree rosin for orange? And those occur in nature in some form rather than being solely a laboratory creation like the majority of what gets added to water to make soft drinks.
i remember buying a sparkling water when i was little because i thought it was just cool water. i was very wrong, it tasted like i was drinking TV static. sparkling ice is decent but not good enough to redeem the beverage as a whole.
sounds like you'll need a tasty beverage with some carbohydrates for energy to keep you up for the next four and a half hours. Maybe a nice glass of milk?
