I'm sure most people aren't going to this but I am most likely heading up to check it out. Skipping their Brooklyn show on Friday, going to their Rockville Centre show on Saturday, and then will try for this.
I'm a big Oberst fan but he has been pretty sloppy on and off apparently the last couple years. Not sure what's going on.
But Felice Bros, Hurray for the Riff Raff, plus the friends like Will Lawrence (Felice Bros drummer doing a solo set) and Al Olendar should be good.
If anyone actually decides to check this out let me know here. Otherwise I'm going to check this out and hope Oberst brings his A-game
I wanted to go to this so damn badly! But there’s no easy way to get from NC to where this was in NY. And convincin’ the wife would be the hardest bit, but if they do this again I will certainly try!

It was such a good day. And hopefully you (and others) can go in the future because James made it sound like they wanted to make it a yearly type of thing. They claimed it sold out during their set so hopefully it was a success. Great little venue, too.
This was the Felice Bros setlist:
Jazz on the Autobahn Aerosol Ball Meadow of a Dream Let me come home Valium Cherry Licorice Days of the Years Lincoln Continental Silverfish St. Stephen's End (amazing!!) Blow him apart (with Al Olender on vocals with James) The Devil is Real (With Simone Felice) Radio Song (with Simone and Conor Oberst) Whiskey in my Whiskey White Limo (with Simone)
Plus they popped into every set before them AND were Conor's backing band. It was essentially "Singer/songwriter on stage playing their songs and then welcoming the Felice band for a couple more songs" for most of the afternoon.
Got some videos of full songs I'll share once they're up on youtube.

I also wanted to go. Love Conor and have seen The Felice Bros a few times due to Conor having them open and back his band. Looking forward to the videos. I also couldn’t conscience my gf / it is a pain to get to NY from NC.

While I loved the venue and do hope they make it a yearly thing it was pretty much a small farm/brewery area that was in the middle of nowhere. About a half hour outside of New Paltz, NY and a great time but even when I turned into the entrance road I wasn't sure if I was in the right spot lol.
If it's the same spot next year and is a decent lineup I'd definitely recommend it. I missed the first couple of acts but even for what I saw it was a fun time. Good food and drinks.
