I'm not really happy with the remaining genres, but I think Jazz is my favorite of the ones left. A lot of the music I like falls under the psych umbrella, but I dont think it should be #1. Pop is too broad and hip hop is great but just not my favorite genre.
I'm on soul. Some really talented singers in the genre but in general people singing old soul songs and dancing to them at weddings and stuff always comes across kinda cringe for me.

Yeah if my uncle and cousin danced to this for their father-daughter dance I certainly would have thought they were cooler than whatever Remember the Titans song they did dance to.
Hip Hop = Personal favorite, intersects with all the categories in some way Pop = Clearly a choice because it is what we remember, and can sing back to each other. Soul = So influential to different styles including hip hop, r&b, even some sultry country attempts.
Classic Rock: You have the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Steely Dan, some of Floyd, Clapton? I don't know if that's going to stand up to anything after Disco falls.
Disco: I have a shit ton of disco records. It is also such a low in the industry of artists, having people who didn't want to forced to make disco records. Drugs are great guys. But the drugs were running the party

Would likely have been better if i had missed it altogether. If that’s a real thing and not a joke, the only thing I can say is at least it isn’t that bible camp psycho lady rapping it. Jesus needs to straighten some of these motherfuckers out.
As for the rest, I hope Pop and Indie get evicted though I don’t hate on all Indie and suppose shit like mid 80’s U2 and Peter Gabriel is the best of pop. I’m avoiding voting for disco unless it goes up against jazz or hiphop which are my two favorite genres remaining.

since genres are meaningless, here is the best Stevie Wonder song. and in a catalog full of incredible vocal performances, this might be my favorite of his. his emphasis on the "through" in "you trade yours for candy / after church is throoouuugggh" just destroys me.

say what you will about main stage EDM, not sure how you can't listen to AVB opening his Ultra 2016 with "Dominator" and not have a smile on your face.
