Almost every page I find when I google classic rock lists Hendrix among its example artists, so if it's a stretch at all, it's, like, a gentle shoulder roll. Yeah, he's psychedelic rock, but a lot of bands/artists straddle that line. Not all of them do it while setting their guitar on fire, though.

We pulled psych out of classic rock though, so you don't get Jimi for this game. He's ours

If your argument is that psychedelic rock > classic rock in general, I'm definitely not disagreeing! I just feel there are artists who fall under multiple umbrellas - Jimi, Pink Floyd, the Beatles (who I'd consider under pop, classic rock, and psych), the Doors, the Byrds, etc.
Anyhoo. I apologize for starting the Youtube parade. I didn't know what it would become.
Would y'all mind continuing to shit up the thread with burnt out classic rock songs? Maybe Do You Feel Like We Do? Old Time Rock and Roll? Layla? Radar Love?

Easily
- Born to be Wild - Slow Ride - Magic Carpet Ride - Zeppelin’s “Rock & Roll” - Brown Eyed Girl - Bad to the Bone - American Pie - I wanna Rock & Roll All Night - Old Time Rock & Roll - I Love Rock & Roll - Don’t Stop (reminds me of the Clinton campaign)
I guess for me if it’s got rock & roll in the title, chances are it’s overplayed.
Fitting that the boomer in the cubicle across from mine is playing the classic rock station on her FM radio.
Tell us the track listing!
