#7: The Moment of Truth
"The Moment of Truth," released in 1984 on the soundtrack to The Karate Kid, was the first hit single Survivor recorded with new lead singer Jimi Jamison, originally from Cobra, who replaced Dave Bickler.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
I’m going “Is This Love?”. Survivor can do anthemic. Survivor can do sappy. I’m not as into Survivor trying to do sultry(although I’m still at least a little into it, because it’s still Survivor).

No way! I think this might be the only Survivor song I actually enjoy. I'm sure it's mostly just nostalgia, as I'm of an age where this is the one that was playing regularly on the radio in my mom's car when I was a kid.

gonna totally derail this thread for a moment. at a bachelor party recently, the previous guest hadn't signed out of their youtube account. so we were trying to throw the algorithm some weird shiz (without being gross). so naturally we watched a ton of Steven Seagal clips and stuff. but then we stumbled onto pure fire.
I guess I will have to rectify that then. I am skating in the decadence parade on Sunday, no big oval and awkwardness though.
Can you carry a portable Bluetooth speaker blaring "The Search Is Over" with you when you do, and see if anyone tries to couples skate with you?
Ummm pretty sure we have a playlist and a truck with massive speakers. No requests usually. I will try to make this happen at one of our regular Sunday skates though.
at our elementary school skating parties I remember Whoomp! There it is! being on constant rotation.
I would go to Skate Country pretty much every weekend before I got my driver's license (15) and Keith Sweat I Want to Love You Down was one of the popular the couple skate song.
