I'm updating my final guess to
Foo Fighters-Lizzo-Miranda Lambert Odesza-Rosalia-the 1975 Leon Bridges-My Morning Jacket-Hozier
8 of these being the big names on the left side of the poster and the 9th being top name of the undercard, though not sure if MMJ or Hozier would be billed above the other. I think Leon Bridges gets the big font jump for ACL though, but not headliner
Possibly Kendrick instead of Miranda Lambert but I'm betting on there being one surprise not on other fests headliner and I think that name makes sense
Wouldn't Shania Twain be more on brand for ACL than Miranda Lambert?
Definitely would but she's doing the San Antonio arena right around ACL which has to break the radius clause, and I'd figure her dates would be a little more optimized with the routing. But she is technically open both weekends and in Texas during weekend 2 so it's definitely not out of the question, they've allowed exceptions on the radius clause before

Foos have a Texas date, thats a radius breaker too yet....

El Paso is most certainly not within the radius clause lmao. Do you realize how big Texas is?

I mean Foos playing El Paso, a cool 8+ hours away from Austin, is a little different than San Antonio, just 90 minutes away...
Outside of the COVID year, this edition of ACL speculation season has been one of the most confusing ones yet.
Foos & Odesza are givens, cool, but are we really about to get THAT much overlap on the toplines with Roo/Lolla, or even an exact carbon copy of OSL top 4? If not, who steps in the Kendrick/Lana spots?
I think we've been in denial about the Lumineers; I'd be surprised if they're not on the lineup.
Are Shania's dates this obviously clear she's in, or is this another Elton situation repeated?
Does ACL stick with gender equality & other forms of diversity on the top lines? If so, count me in on Lizzo.
I wish there was more talk about the undercard which is a big unknown and coming off a strong 2022 which had so many good acts. The Marias, Spoon, The War on Drugs, Purple Disco Machine, Wet Leg, James Blake, Carly, Faye Webster, Pinkpanthress, it was pretty stacked. And due to the proximity of Portola now, I wonder how much crossover we'll get from that. Maybe both fests will have Aphex Twin*??

Shania's got Dallas, Houston, Fort Worth and San Antonio on the tour. Seems like a lot of Texas dates to add two more shows. Looks like the last few times she's been to TX she only did 2 or 3 shows. But hey ACL's surprised us before!
Since 2019 especially, C3 has put a lot more focus into gender equality and other diversity at ACL.
would love the Lumineers to show up! I just don't want to get my hopes up because they've been skipping over Texas recently.

*i'm kidding.
Agreed! a lot of my favorite shows have been from the undercard... for this year I'm thinking we'll see Mt. Joy, Tegan & Sara, Declan McKenna, Rina Sawayama, Bob Moses, Noah Kahan, Lil Yachty, Mars Volta, Jessie Ware, Jungle, Teskey Brothers, maybe 070 Shake, Maybe the Breeders show up since they're opening for the Foos.
Above all I'm hoping for some Misterwives W1 and Wombats W2 exclusives.

my copium for shania still is that we had known for months at this point that elton was out. shania still has those dates open.
1.) Lana on Sunday to close out the weekend 2.) Jessie Ware on Barton Springs either shutting it down or subbing 3.) Planes being things and Turnpike Troubadours on Saturday
Maybe a long shot, especially if the Foo Fighters come BUT... the queens of the stone age announced tour dates through October 8th, leaving both weekends before and after open. They've got 7 other festival dates mixed into that tour too.

I feel like Turnpike would have to be a Weekend 2 exclusive, I can't see them doing California-Texas-South Carolina 3 days in a row, that recent interview said they don't want to a crazy touring schedule moving forward

I don't think this is that big of a long shot, they have played the fest before and are playing lots of fests this year. They wouldn't be a headliner.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
