I disagree, it’s pretty bad. Some decent stuff sprinkled in as always, but this is terrible compared to like 2019, which was their last good lineup imo.

Looking away from the headliners, you have YYYs, Maggie Rogers, Cigarettes after Sex, Mars Volta, Death Grips, M83, Tegan and Sara, Poolside, Walkmen, Breeders, and Jessie Ware. That is a Primavera LA line up right there alone.
Better than 2022 lineup imo, but not sure if it’s 2018/19 level.
I don't think it rates with any of the mid-late teens lineups. It's not bad at all, just kind of 2023 Generic. I'm not a fan of the side bar beyond the top 2. But there are some cool midcarders particularly M83 as a Weekend 2 Exclusive. Lil Simz on there is good too. Think I'm going to pass this year again.

2019 Shows: 4/30 - Vampire Weekend 6/28 - Father John Misty & Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit 9/6 - Cardi B w/ Teyana Taylor 9/28 - Vulfpeck w/ The Fearless Flyers
Fucking Mommford dude. What in the actual fuck. Does he really own C3 stock or is he dating one of the bookers?? Four times in 7 years. Make him the AndrewWK of ACL
They got Leto'd too
P.tM was close to headlining stuff a couple years ago, now they dipped back to 5th line behind REVIVALISTS
YYY, Mars Volta, Death Grips would be a good day, but they'll be spread out thin each day like butter
OVERALL: Lots of depth that wasn't here in '21 or '22. Looks like we're back to pre-COVID budgets and talent pools. A broad, overall major win.
- In a vacuum, Kendrick/Foos/Odesza are extremely solid bookings that would be strong any year. Just sucks that bc they're literally everywhere this cycle, and ACL is at the end of the calendar, it feels disappointing. Still, would be all great sets.
- Tons of great options in the undercard... YYY, Mars Voltra, M83, Cig After Sex, Chromeo, Jessie Ware, Ethel Cain, Yves Tumor, Tegan & Sara, The Walkmen...gonna be some brutal mid-afternoon conflicts ahead.
- Lots of dudes this year at the top, just a year after the promoters were taking victory laps around their gender equality on the top lines. Weird.
- Shania is really fun. I'm glad they booked her.
- At least Mumford is now slotted down to #3, I guess? Anyway, excited to see where they land in 2027!
It's fine. Some good stuff. Some bad stuff. If I was still in Austin I would maybe go a single day if the right set of acts ended up on the same day but would mostly hope for the acts I like to play after shows.
this is one of those lineups where you realize some people just have music interests that are far away from mine. I imagine this will sell out quite quickly
People seem to have too high expectations for an ACL line up in 2023. Odesza, Lumineers, Foo all seemed extremely likely throughout the year. Kendrick will be great and Shania will be a fun party. That’s all I need from headliners since they moved to this 8 headliner format. With a fun undercard and being local again, I’ll enjoy myself.

I would imagine those two will conflict right
Possible but she could conflict with anyone on the line up so I got some better odds.

MAN i really wanted Fred Again.. this hurts my soul lol, Kendrick and Foo Fighters though is a solid choice, Odesza i listened to way before in 2015 and saw them live 7 years ago, personally like their older stuff so i don't have any interest in seeing them this year again.
Above and beyond is a really solid catch, though definitely didn't see that coming.
Guess ill just wait for Portola to maybe see Fred Again.. there.
