I understand people getting upset or being worried on Reddit, but anybody on here (who's been to Daze multiple times) knows that this is the way they operate. Very rarely are they "right on top of it" and transparent. Again, I wouldn't start worrying until June comes and goes and we get NOTHING. That would be unprecedented, and at that point, all bets would be off.

Bummed about Devendra, he was great in 2021 and his new single is very Darkside-y.
Broken Social Scene's last posted tour date is 10/6, couldn't they still be a possibility?
They're a Canadian group and their tour ends across the country. I just don't see them coming over to Cali for a one off when their tour ends in the south.

People are out here asking Lake Perris rangers if DD is still happening lol they're really losing it over there.
I do understand though. It's just that the lack of communication sucks!
They did do the west coast late last year (their booking at Ohana fest I guess worked as their LA date), not completely out of the realm of possibility but would be skeptical if they added another leg after wrapping up on the east coast…

What about Gum for likely? He's got a Sunday open, coming from Dallas, going to San Fran. LA not until the end of October and it's small (the Lodge Room).
If one more person on the subreddit says that Gizz should headline again or they think they'll be there this year...I'm losing my mind
I LOVE Gizzard. I saw Gizzard at DD and other shows during last years tour.
I don't think headliners (or really any act with rare exceptions) should be repeating. I don't get why people want a repeat of anything, I'll just catch a normal tour show if I really want to see someone specific again.
This sentiment also hugely applies to the Tame Bros. I appreciated last year even not as a huge fan but I don't need to hear Elephant every year.

I'll be very disappointed if last year was the end of Lake Perris Desert Daze. 2022 was my first year and I was so excited to have this be my yearly festival/friend reunion now that I live across the country from Bonnaroo.
Fingers crossed this is all untrue and just behind the scenes drama that has been figured out!

It always seemed like DD was hanging by a thread and Phil was keeping it going with sheer will and good connections. I didn't decide to go this year but losing the option hurts because there's nothing else that interests me. Austin psych was fun but it's tiny and not camping, levitation is a city fest which really doesn't interest me and the local Colorado psych fests are just that. If DD goes away it's forced retirement for me
I think I'll just do to pitchfork every year if this is true. It's reasonably close and I always like the lineup. And three city has good food
I wish Sasquatch was still a festival. I didn't live in the PNW when it was happening. I know they have a new festival called Thing but it seems a lot different. It could be cool though!
Wasnt me. No reason to go up to washington for those shows when I got the marsthon finale in my backyard.
Am I shocked? No at all.
I think the betting money goes onto them doing a big single day event at Moreno Beach and thats how you have QOTSA do a so cal date and make it a day trip. Then have all those other shows around it and such. But maybe this time they come through with some pappys dates.
