If they have queens and mars volta thats costing them some bucks so a 3 day starting at $400 before fees seems about right. Single days at $150 will likely be that price point if this even goes down.

Most promoters would've said something by now but DD does march to the beat of a different drummer, so I could see the fest being on track and them not feeling like addressing the rumors ahead of the announcement. Of course, I could also see the rumors being true...

Yup! Stuck between rock and a hard place, truly.
Other than last year, they didn't make the big announcement on a Monday. Plus there was a video tease before the lineup dropped.
In any case, I think we'll get a transmission standby type of post or one indicating that the format has changed (or god forbid the fest is canceled) before getting the lineup. I really hope they get to it before this week's up - for everyone's sake.

If it turns out to be levitation LA I just hope they refund me and don't just turn it into desert daze credits. I'm not going to LA for a series of shows over several weeks. It's getting to be too hard to look passed all the people saying the fest as we know it is cancelled but I'll remain optimistic until the last minute I guess.

If they try to pull that shit I will lose my mind. I am getting my money back if this isn't happening the way it was planned.

The only hope would be it's a Daze Pre-Party that is happening off-site. Wouldn't hold my breath for it, but that's THE ONLY other way to look at it.

If they're going with the Levitation format, I figure all shows would be Desert Daze Presents.
Exactly. I honestly doubt this will be a "festival" at all. LA isn't built for it. They would have had to have this planned like this for a looooot longer anyways if they wanted to pull it off.
What's happening is they're scrambling to get these bands re-booked so they can attempt to fulfill contract obligations and still get some money out of this (as well as put on some good shows).
But this won't be a festival. I can't see them selling festival tickets to this. Every single one will be DD Presents and sold individually.
