I have a cute tie-dye bagel that someone brought me. I don’t eat bagels very often and have no lox. What should my game plan be here to maximize on my moment of bagel goodness? Might get freaky with it and do a half and half even if there is a tie. This is what I have in my house. Thank you for your assistance in this important matter.

Sorry I missed this v. important conversation. I have like 8 fresh NY bagels at home right now. I was in Queens and were doing our usual lox brunch yesterday (sorry to rub it in, LLL) and only needed 5 bagels. But the place we went to was buy a dozen, get 7 free! So, I have lots-o-bagels if anyone wants one.

also sorry i missed this.
obviously i enjoy a cream cheese bagel, but most of the time i just like a buttered bagel. particularly when you are dealing with something with strong flavors like an everything bagel, i just want the fat from butter to enhance those flavors, rather than add in an entirely new flavor via cream cheese.
i love a lox bagel but don't really have access to quality smoked fish in my city. when i'm in NYC it's always one of the first things i eat.
The majority of my bagel intake is one off and is definitely cream cheese (and lox, etc. when available) or sometimes egg sandwiches. When I have access to many bagels (aka now), I often will do some with butter as a switch up. I like them with butter, but not as much as cream cheese, so when they are few and far between, I revert to my fave.
