It's early, but I already know today is not the day. Great news for me is it's the weekend and 3post1jack1 is horrible about staying on top of polls on the weekend. So there is a good chance I could watch, and vote this weekend.

When? I will be in my city too. I work Sunday night at 7 and have a meeting from 2-3 on Saturday, but I am generally free. Oh and you are not going to be disappoint in Revolution. so much nom.

I'd put it in the "very good" category. It's not exceptional or anything, but the kitchen is talented. Death by Gumbo is a 100% must eat there as it was a new take after the NYT challenged Chef Folse to do something else with gumbo (yeah it's great, but...). That's a signature appetizer/soup there. Both my sons who I took in September thought that death by gumbo was blow away. The stuffed quail melts into the broth releasing the oysters, rice and file'. It's probably as good as gumbo can be although I once had a pheasant and andouille gumbo in Lafayette (Charlie G's I think) that was up there at this level. It's comparable but better than Mr. B's.
Looking at the menu, I'd go in some different directions than last time I was there. The wild boar bolognese is kind of calling. We had a visiting fish last time, and it was definitely good though not remarkable. I was between a steak and bouillabaisse. Steak was fine but was pretty much like most steaks you'd get in high end restaurants. I would go with the bouillabaisse if I was there right now. The sea scallops and black truffles looks enticing too (sunchoke, veal cheeks, mountain rose apple, bacon vinaigrette). They were out of the gulf shrimp and blue corn grits when we were there, but that's probably good too. The cast iron venison tenderloin they have on the menu now is looking pretty tasty (mushroom spaetzle, spiced pear, maitake, jager sauce). I would probably get the bananas foster affogato for desert/coffee combo.
Damn, you're making me hungry and I already ate a cupcake, 25 macadamias and finished off a bag of fritos that was in my desk. I'm assuming you're coming in Saturday and leaving Sunday. If you're in tonight, we'll be at Mr. Carmack late.
