Advice for someone bringing his 16 YO for their 17th Birthday (& father's day) at Roo '23. good kid well equiped to handle all the potential trouble that Bonnaroo presents. I am a 3 time veteran mysel (04,09,13). I am well aware of the potential for trouble. Comments from People w experience in this area preferred.
I’m taking my kids to their 4th Roo this year and my youngest will be 16. At almost 17 I would just make sure to talk to them pre festival to make them aware of situations that can, and probably will, happen. Smaller kids are more of a job at a festival especially bonnaroo, but teenagers can handle their own for the most part. I’ll be camping in ada if you kid wants to kick it with kids their age.

We are already having those conversations. The wook menace is real!!
I haven't. Can I see some at this Brown kangaroo festival? Do I have to go shirtless too, or can I wear my spiderman t-shirt, like at the pool?
I don't have kids but I brought a 42 year-old festival first-timer last year, who loved it. She wants to bring her 17 and 19 year-olds this year, and the 15 year-old if she's interested, which is more iffy. I'm 100% confident they'd be fine, but I know they're all a little more independent and experienced than most teenagers.
