usually we just keep the same old thread going and update the title/OP for the new year but i don't have any issue with starting a new one for each year. thanks for handling it, i'd love to go back in 2023.

really want to get to this some year, could be a wild card for me in 2023 if i'm not into the roo lineup. also feel like going to this is a pre-marriage thing for me (which i have until next october on) lol
someday i really wanna do this but its hard to get that resolve when boston calling is a 30min drive from me the same weekend
i totally understand, but i get on a plane for Movement. what gets me there is its a totally unique lineup, you really won't find anything quite like it in the United States. the experience is unique as well, it's a city fest but with copious amounts of aftershows going 24/7 in a variety of wild ass venues.
Paxahau have been doing this fest for a long time and are pretty damn good at it. sound is typically great, the inherent acoustic issues at the Underground Stage notwithstanding. similarly there are a lot of day one attendees who have been doing this a while, at the risk of falling back on festival cliches there is a real vibe and an energy to the fest, it's got a casual lived in party vibe, it's just a comfortable place to be. nobody is judging anybody, there are all kinds of people from every background, including a not insignificant amount of international techno fans making their pilgrimage to the birthplace.
TV Lounge and Marble Bar always have a lot of Movement events. Leland City Club and The Majestic as well. I've never heard of Spot Lite but they have some cool events in the link.

My friends who live in Detroit said Spot Lite has been the spot (lol) recently. Not sure what events are going on though. I've personally only been to TV Lounge and that's a nice venue that seems to throw fun events

I’m gonna check out Spot Lite tomorrow night! It’s a deep house event, which happens to be my favorite.
went ahead and did presale for this. Hopefully they begin teasing the lineup soon! Now just need to find the best area to stay that wont be ridiculously expensive.

My friend who lives in Detroit was texting me about this in addition to the lineup teaser. Had to tell him they'll be in Chicago at Smart Bar in February, but I have to admit he's doing a good job of selling this weekend again lol. Need to save my money though

Idk if anyone can answer this question, but with Pan-pot playing a Paxahau promoted show in Detroit on 2/18, does that make them more or less likely to be on the fest lineup?
