I know its typical of them to wait this long to announce but I really need this lineup to come out so I can decide if I want to sell my TPS/DCFC MSG ticket. Chicago death cab fans have been sweaty for 6 months straight now.
Also are they really going to let this fest be a Dave Grohl / Ben Gibbard 3-day Greatest Hits collection? I love all 4 bands but they rly need a unique third headliner.

Paramore isnt unique enough?
Paramore would be great. Just hope its not Foo Fighters * QOTSA * Postal Service

Paramore are not playing though. They were on Lolla then something happened and they added that Milwaukee show after the fact but Riot never booked them because of Lolla. Aside from that, Zac's other band Halfnoise has shows booked every date of Lolla, so they are 100% out.

So now its sausage fest 2023. And just saw those halfnoise dates. Kpop is probably what happened with Lolla. They took the easy way out on single days.
Is $179 a price decrease from last year? I know its the presale discount but I thought last year's tickets were like $300+ in the general sale. Must be mistaken.
Compared to Pitchfork who has half the amount of bands and probably a sizeable downgrade in combined artist starpower; this is a total steal.

For whatever reason I can’t pull it up in my email but it’s on par with the 3 day passes for 2022 they sold when they announced MCR dropped out in 2021

Last year general tix were $300+ fees when they went on sale. So theres prob another $300 price point coming tomorrow. It it ends up lower than that then they just might be spending less on talent and everything else.

It is indeed a great deal in the 2023 landscape of LiveNation fests. This is a much bigger bang for your buck than you’ll get from Adjacent or When We Were Young.
That said, especially when comparing to Pitchfork, you trade off the savings for potentially ending up a mile back behind 60,000 other people trying to see your favorite headliner. I’ve walked away from sets at Riot Fest I was excited to see, less than impressed, only because I couldn’t get into it being behind a sea of people, many who were more focused on drinking than the set in front of them. (A little effort can get you close for a lot of bands though.)
