There's a Hi Hostel that I stayed at years ago that I really liked. It's in the loop and $85 a night on Booking. Obviously it's a shared dormitory but if you're doing it right, you won't see it that much.
Also, Southwest flys direct from RVA to Midway for cheap.
I stayed at that same hostel in like... 2008? I enjoyed it at the time.
Coincidentally, the writer of this piece was also in Chicago for Riot Fest when this happened to them.
The shortish version is that we had been in communication with the host, said we couldn’t check in until after the fest (~11pm). They said “Ok text this number to let us know when you’re on the way”. We texted after the fest, and we’re given a completely different address to go to because “maintenance was doing some tile work and didn’t finish in time” at the original location. We refused because it sounded sketchy as fuck, but fortunately had some friends to crash with. Airbnb did not respond to our request until the very next morning, telling us if we accepted the host’s unlicensed scam location they’d give us a 10% discount. We said no, it was a scam, we want a refund, and we already had to find alternate lodging because they didn’t respond to us in a timely manner.
Anyway after a couple days of back and forth they gave us the full refund, and for our trouble of… being stranded in a city that isn’t our home without a place to stay, they gave us a 10% off coupon to use on our next visit (to be used within 30 days)
So fuck Airbnb, would not recommend, they have no incentive to fix the rampant scams on their platform, and will make it a hassle for you to get your money back if it happens to you
If somebody is bored & wants to be super dope - can somebody compile a list of all the people hinted at in the clues released today & which clue they correspond to? It’s getting hard for me to follow which of the artists being mentioned are actually tied to a clue and which are just wishful thinking/likely given tour dates.

Went up to $269 after fees now. They did some sneaky tiered pricing. Def gonna cross $300 tomorrow, maybe almost $400
They've been doing tiered pricing for like 10 years there's just more tiers now and obvs more expensive
Yeah, ive seen them do it but it sounded as if they were just selling $179 tix and thats it. But of course you put people under pressure to grab a deal and theyll still pay. You also would think the new ticketing site would show fees too
