Yeah I picked a song that had sounds that terrified me by an artist who gave me a panic attack at Bonnaroo with similar sounds. So I'm pretty sure a poor Victorian child would be scared to death by it. So I voted on songs with scary noises/sounds or heavyness.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

I didn’t even vote for Maiden or NIN because those songs aren’t brutal enough.
i didn't vote for either of those either because i thought they were odd choices from both bands who have way more violent/brutal sounding songs that could've been selected IMO. that NIN song is just sexy to me, tbh.
Yeah, I assumed the intention behind "Closer" was that the sheer sexiness of it would be overwhelming for the Victorian child's genteel sensibilities and would cause them to die of the vapors, rather than brutalizing them like some of the other selections.

I figured on this one that if you showed them the video too that kid is dropping like a fly. So I did vote for it.

lololol i do like that interpretation.
only having 8 upvotes is tough for this League though! i've been back and forth on a few for my final couple of upvotes most rounds.

I also had another idea for a league, something that could run simultaneously with the normal music league, where every week you would submit a song that came out in the last week. Would there be any interest in that?

Whenever I hear Drake rap: "I did half a Xan, thirteen hours 'til I land. Had me out like a light. Like a light. Slept through the flight", all I can think about is how soft Drake really is. Now I am thinking I shouldn't have voted for such a soft song to kill a Victorian child.
